I like cream of rice with a touch of brown sugarm cinnamon and some butter (margarine) and just enough milk around the edges to make it cool enough to eat. But it is high in carbs (39 carbs.) So if you have to watch carbs, make sure you cut back on something elsewhere to have it.

Thanks for being there, Mary

I second Bob's Mighty Tasty, it's easily my favorite GF oatmeal type sub.

Look for quinoa flakes. They are a similar consistency to cream of wheat but have more protein.

The people that make cream of wheat are now making cream of rice which I am looking forward to trying.

You could have cream of rice. I really like the hot buckwheat but it may be too grainy for you. Also cream of grits.

I've never heard of BRM's GF 10 grain hot cereal, looking at the website there's only gluten 10 grain cereal(with 5 types of gluten). I do like BRM's Mighty Tasty Cereal, there is another GF hot cereal but it is completely tasteless and even with adding flavor is still icky.

I've found that Bob's Red Mill 10 grain gluten free/dairy free hot cereal is about the same consistency as cream of wheat. It's really good, too. I add a tsp of honey and a little almond milk to it.
