I just put in my meals for a few weeks and then after they are in my favorites and I see how many calories they are work them in to my diet. I am have made up my own diet plan as I have gone along and asked questions of my sparkfriends to adjust and come up with new recipes as I have gone along. Barb

It was an interesting site, thank you for sharing it. I wish they had complete days of food though, kinda silly only to have dinner. Has anyone tried weight watchers before for GF?

Yvonne, I found that site interesting, but they personally are meals I would never eat. Glad to get to see it though, so thanks for share. Meals just are realistic.

You can google it and see what you find. But here at Sparks forget it.

emoticon Hi, yes there are free weekly menu plans for folks requiring non-gluten food. www.soscuisine.com. Sign on and then see the variety of meal planners and select the Gluten Free one. The meals are delicious, simple, designed by a dietician, and easy to prepare. They come with a calorie count for each meal and a shopping list for the week. You won't have to prepare separate menus for the rest of the family and the meals are good enough for company.

However, the menus don't include breakfast or lunch menus - which are pretty easy to do: Breakfast - either whole grain cooked cereal with milk and a fruit OR a protein (such as eggs, GF sausages, GF Cheese, leftover chicken etc), a GF startch or a fruit. Lunch: Either Homemade Soup with gf bun/bread/cracker and protein if none included in the soup OR salad with protein. You may also like to include a milk drink.

All the best in planning your menus. Let us know how you make out.

I wish they did as well. Hopefully soon. Thankfully in regards to recipes there are so many out there with all the blogs and sites. I just was hoping for an easy way to log calories and GF meals. Lazy I guess :-)

I wish they had that option here on Spark! But, the easiest for me is eating fresh meats, veggies, fruits, smoothies, g free oats, brown rice and quinoa. That way, i know the food is healthy! Of course I eat other stuff (like my small addiction to Snickers bars!), but I try to keep it 80- 90% healthy :) Let me know if you need any help figuring out some meal ideas :)

Hello, yes I have been gluten free for awhile. I was just hoping to find some recipes and a meal calorie reduction plan I could follow so it would be easier.

Do you already know how to eat gluten free and just want to know how to eat the right amount of calories for your current healthy needs or are you looking for help with how to change to a gluten free diet in general? Barb

I have no idea. The biggest problem with nutrition plans like that is whether the person truely knows what gluten free is. And many of us also have other allergies/intollerances. Myself, I can't digest pork anymore. Many are allergic to eggs, dairy, soy, etc as well as being gluten free.

Your best bet, talk to an educated nutritionist in the field.

First thing I did was get a list of all ingredients/foods I had to avoid. I spent months reading every label. I still do. Funny how one flavor of an item is okay to eat, while another flavor - same brand everything - I can't eat.

If you are in a jam, I have found as a general rule of thumb, if it's not processed, it's more likely to be safe. Fresh fruit, vegetables, meats that have no sauces, etc. It's so hard. When you go out, even some of these rice side dishes are contaminated.

If I can't get access to the label to read it, I won't eat it.
