Glad they taste the same as the bread...I will toast mine and see if I can keep them from falling apart. I am looking forward to barbecued beef and turkey burgers this summer. Barb

I did not toast them. I didn't think Rudi's needed toasting. They do taste like the Rudi's bread so that wasn't the issue. I have 3 in the freezer I will try toasting next time I get the craving for a bun.

did you toast it first? I find a lot of breads hold up much better if toasted than not.

So in the interest of a family BBQ I got the buns and was unimpressed. They were so crumbly that I took the bun right off and just ate the burger with a fork like I normally do. Thumbs DOWN!

My nature's market just called to say they have the Rudi's gluten free hamburger buns in and I am going to go and pick them up. My husband said he would barbecue me a burger this weekend and I am so excited!!! Will let you all know what I think of the buns. Barb

Rudi's hamburger buns are 170 calories and have 2 gms of fiber per bun. Their multigrain bread is 90 calories and 1 gm of fiber per slice. You can see all the nutritional info on their products at Rudis.com Barb

curious to the calorie count on the buns. My mom bought a pack of hamburger buns, cannot remember the name, and the bun was more calories than the burger!

Janae I did years ago but I can't remember. Dairy intolerant too now so they are out for me. They are popular though...

Has anyone tried the Oopsie rolls off the Atkins team?
They're made with just cream cheese and eggs - I'm very curious!

Cindy- I saw the same thing and checked to see if my natures market would order them for me. Can't wait to have a real hamburger with a bun. Tess- you would probably like the Rudi's gluten free multi-grain bread as it tastes most like the multi-grain bread I ate before being gluten free. Carol Fenster 1000 gluten free recipes cookbook has lots of recipes for multi-grain type breads and info on how to substitute for xanthum gum and any other allergy issues. Barb

Some of them are about $5 or more for four buns.

I really miss breads and chewy rolls. I wish I could find GF ones that don't have xanthan gum!

I will check the Giant Eagle. They carry Rudi's bread but sometimes they are out. I can ask if they will carry the buns if I don't see them. (Are they usually in the freezer?)

I just saw an ad from my local grocery store that Rudi's now makes hamburger and Hot dog buns! Just in time for grilling season! Their bread is good so I imagine these are too.
