I agree with you on rising the quinoa - helps a ton. I put it in a ton of things. My favorites are:
BREAKFAST: mix 1/2-1/2 with either brown rice OR gf oats, add cinnamon, walnuts, dried fruit and a smidge of maple syrup and warm soy-milk.
LUNCH: Mix with lots of veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, red bell peppers & cucumbers are my favorites), some beans (both black and garbanzos are good), a little homemade vinaigrette and a touch of feta cheese (or greek olives).
