Be sure to check the ingredients on the almond paste - some brands are OK and others are not.

SOLO pie filling has almond paste, that is what the creator of the recipe used.

I have missed poppyseed cake myself, was thinking of making a GF adaption one of these days.

Almond paste is not the same as almond butter. You can usually find it at a regular grocery store though. These sure do look yummy!

One recipe calls for almond paste...is that the same thing as almond butter? My almond butter has no other additives.
