If you don't feel like making your own, Pier 49 (some sites) have GF pizza! So good! Call ahead, though, because they run out of the GF dough sometimes.

I didn't tell you, but we put some oil on top of the crust before the first baking (w/o the toppings) and it improved the taste/consistency quite a bit. Doesn't take a lot, and we used olive oil, but it does make it taste better.

The pizza crust mix I have right now is Chebe - www.chebe.com I haven't made it yet but the owner of the health food store in town said that it sells very well so she thought it must be good.

The GF pizza crust mixes are actually quite good. We've gotten a couple different ones--apologies that we don't have any in the house and I can't remember the brand--and both were pretty good. I never get them as pretty as those that comes from the store, but we enjoy them anyway.

Chicky, welcome and glad that you are finding good things to eat that is gf. I am gf a year last month. You had mentioned pizza. That is the one thing that I really missed but now I am doing good with it.

It is a great support group and will find alot of good info here which you have already found out.

Please never apologize for rambling. We enjoy hearing from you and will help in anyway that we can.

Again, welcome.

Welcome to the team! It is great to know what is working for you. Are the gf waffles a Trader Joe's brand? (I usually get Van's Wheat Free Flax waffles when I buy them).

Having Celiac is difficult, but as you get used to the new products, it gets better. Many restaurants have gluten free menus, like Outback. It helps!! Just watch your ingredients in food, as well as cosmetics.

I was delighted to find Asian Helper, since most of the other Asian foods have wheat even though they're mostly rice!

I have just reignited my SPARK..... I am a new GF, only been one month. I will share my story in time... I do want to share a couple of items that are my go to GF items. I have been reading everyones posts for days and really believe that Knowledge is POWER and knowing where you can get food, what is GF and easily accessible makes this HUGE change in my life all the more easier.

Sorry Ramble. 2nd post EVER!! My family got a Dominos pizza the other night and I thought I'd crack!!!!!!! Well I went to my goto item and spruced it up a bit.

I do not have a problem with dairy (YET) only the wheat, pasta, bready items. So my go to food is EGGS. I love them!!!

I made my first panini using GF waffles. I used two Cage Free eggs and some Baby Bell Cheese wedges... toasted my waffles and even spread a bit of butter on the waffles. I just found my bread! GF waffles were tasty! Even my 8 yr. old likes them! The waffles are from Trader Joe's and they are delish!

My other goto meal these days is the Asian Helper, it is awesome! GF for sure and oh so tasty!

My 3rd meal that I LOVE LOVE is Cinnamon Rice Chex which I put a cut up Banana in the cereal. YUMMO!

Sorry to ramble, I just came back to Spark TODAY! and I was SOOOOOOOOOO excited when I searched Gluten Free and found this great community!!!

GF for life! and down 8 lbs and ready for more!!!!!!!!
