Congratulations on the weight loss. I never really thought about the gluten as making me puffy, but now that I think about it, it does make sense. I had read somewhere that "Inflammation is the enemy of weight loss."

Fabulous! Eating and exercising on the road are harder than at home but ARE possible. You can walk anywhere (exercise) and getting into a travel meal routine makes it easier for instance a salad with grilled chicken for lunch everyday (available pretty much anywhere).
If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit. Hi everyone! Happy 4th of July! I've been absent for awhile due to work but thought I'd check in and tell you the good interesting news. I went shopping yesterday and it's official--I'm down a size since going GF. It's mostly due to not being so swollen. Before going GF I looked 6 months pregnant all the time. I took prescription diuretics because I retained so much fluid. Don't take them anymore--don't need them. The change was pretty immediate (about 2 weeks off gluten was no longer swollen) but I didn't trust it to last. Well here it is a year later and I'm replacing my wardrobe. I also lost 5 pounds during tax season without exercise since there was no time for that. Simply stayed GF, drank a water bottle with lemon juice added to it and ate yougart with blueberries everyday. I hope to lose more weight but it'll be harder to do now that I'm on the road doing audits and eat out every day. I just need to learn a new routine and I'm sure I'll do it since I'm more motivated now. For those of you still trying to figure out the weight loss game, I would try the lemon water and yougart thing since new research is saying it works. Good luck all and stay safe!
