It is good to go without food sometimes. People with digestive problems usually go too long or to little between digestive sessions. A person with an ulcer or heart burn should reschedule non-food or drink time to allow the stomach lining to heal and the acids to get concentrated to digest the 'food' not the stomach. Also, allowing the time gap allows the healing to which will prevent raw chum (partially digested food) to pass into the blood stream, this hole in the digestive wall of stomach or intestines let parasites and harmful undigested things through with signs of pain.

I eat a lot of avocado, coconut oil, and almonds. I'd say the thing that has filled me up the most is take some almond meal and mix it with coconut oil (you can eat it "doughy" or put in freezer until it hardens), then put some baked apple on top. it's pretty darn good! if you can handle bananas try a frozen banana in the blender on top. SO good. and very filling.

Gluten actually makes me super hungry about 14 hours after I eat it.....it's probably why I gained so much weight. You don't get a signal that it did something to you but you're really hungry. Once it hits, I am stuffing food in for the next 12 hours or so. That is a long time to be that hungry....and as all that is going on it lowers my resistance and I catch whatever germ is going around this time and would be out sick for two weeks from work....not the best thing for me....lol. Hopefully your hunger is just dehydration.

Spooky I don't know how long you have been GF, but I was really hungry all the time until my symptoms sort of leveled out...maybe a month or so in. The saviors for me were raw vegetables, proteins and healthy fats like avocado and almond butter.

With any diminishing calorie goal reaching stretch, (I solute you as you near you goal) is to ensure nutrition stay part of you daily menu. When low on energy for the GOAL HITTING crunch, some fruit with potassium may lighten the mood and improve your energy to feel like celebrating or at least plan a celebration of the ultimate completion. As Dotslady mentioned, vitamins may be 'pre-spent on stress' and a recharge in spirit is what I can see from the team. It is up to you to action the rest. I am honored to hear from a G-F'er with the goal 'in sight'!!!- I use a half cup serving of pasta (gluten-free, of course)with favorite vegetables sprinkled around with some olive oil to eat back on the hunger growl. emoticonemoticonemoticon

One thing I do to when I am starving all the time is drink a lot of hot tea. If I crave something sweet I will put a little agave or sugar in it, but usually plain. It helps fill my stomach and also is something that generally requires me to sit still for a few minutes.

hummus is super awesome on carrots, too. I love to use hummus as a dip. can you have air popped popcorn with a little spritz of oil and salt? i LOOOVE popcorn for mindless eating lol

I have found for my mindless eating that I can eat like 2 cups of cauliflower with 2 tbsp of hummus. I also like adding chickpeas to my salads to make them a little heavier.

Ah, no I'm not vegan anymore. My CN and me talked and I'm on a diet of protein and veggies mostly.
Just whenever I'm really stressed out, I want to pig out - (comfort food and also a huge mindless eater)
I do take a daily "B", but even now that isn't seeming to help.
I'm going to try and larger breakfast tomorrow with turkey bacon, eggs, and lots of veggies.
What beans do you think will be most filling?
Also with nuts, I've been over doing the almond butter, I'm sure. So much so I'm worried about a gain from it! :(

Are you vegan? I thought you were. If not, I'd say protein. I can't imagine you'd have that starving feeling if you're eating meat protein? Sometimes I get busy and forget and be starved and realize what I'm missing. How about whole eggs and egg whites? It stays with you longer. If you are stressed, they also have the B vitamins you need.

If you are vegan, how about nuts & legumes? Can you eat large green salads w/those? Do you take B-complex supplements?

I don't know what you're eating, but I find eating large quantities of greens & veggie salads are satisfying. Quality quantity? :)

Broccoli ... sweet potato ... potato ...

I'm under a lot of stress. And ... I've been super hungry, starving feeling all the time.
Nothing is making me feel full! What should I try eating? What can I eat A LOT of?
I'm only 5lb away from my goal. In the past year I lost about 35lb ... I can do this!
I can't eat gluten, dairy, and no sugars.
Thanks for the help :)
