So glad that I don't drink coffee and you also have to read the labels to the teas too because some of them have gluten in them too. Don't know why but they do.

Thanks for the warning. They really should have that posted in the store or on a menu somewhere. I think I would mention it or send an e-mail to the company to try and prevent someone else from that experience. (I have a Starbucks gift card that I was given. I think I will re-gift it to someone who is not gluten sensitive.)

whats even worse since they only rinse out the blenders between drinks there is a high chance of cross contamination to any blended drink.
I don't drink coffee and when I get a gift card there I've gotten blended drinks in the past, not any more!

Fortunately I didn't learn that one the hard way.

So much for their pledge to keep all of their beverages gluten free emoticon

Whatever you call it, it sucks!

I just had my first GF contamination!
And I didn't even know it till now!

A weekish ago I went to Starbucks and got one of their new make your own Frappachinos. Because I'm not drinking caffeine, I got decaf, because I'm trying to reduce calories and fat, I got the light and skim milk options. Then I made sure to only get the tall (small size), I thought I was doing quite well!! I never even thought to be concerned about gluten too!

We went over to the grocery store and about halfway through the store, I was hit with a massive headache, what I was guessing would be a migraine. I thought they must have given me fullcaf rather than decaf and it was a shock to my uncaffinated system. By the time I got home I was in bad shape and took some pain killers and drank a half litre of water, and had to lay down.

Just now, I have learned that all the light Frappichino syrups contain gluten!! I can't even imagine what small amount was present in my little drink! But it hurt so much!

I can't think now if I had any tummy symptoms or felt anything else. I didn't even guess at a GF contamination!! gosh!

Check it out and beware!
