We're in Milwaukee - The stomach flu hit our house between x-mas and new years - it was terrible. It's been almost a month and like posted previously, I swear her pre-gluten symptoms have returned. I hear it's still going around.

my sister (whom I suspect has gluten issues) has had diarrhea and stomach stuff going on for the last month. her doctor told her the crud going around now is taking 4-6 weeks to leave. I hope this is not what you have.

I ran out of probiotics and also got a bit run down, so I've been recovering from a cold this week. I'd been taking acidophilus that I had in the cupboard until I could get some probiotics. My gut's been fine though. It sounds like your flora's definitely off, so probiotics should help in the long run, not sure about the short term. If you try the Pepto, let us know how you get on.

I was going to suggest probiotics but I see you have already had that thought. I have to find dairy free probiotics or I still have problems. Hope you feel better soon!

I had similar symptoms when my mother was dying. I used Pepto Bismal tablets but only occasionally. My system cleared within 2 weeks.

Last week i had horrible 24hr stomach flu(my kids had it first) anyways now i'm having the same stomach issues that i had before going GF,and the gas is back and it's HORRIBLE!!! I've even tried
gas-x again. I'm eating the same GF foods that i was eating prior to the flu. Has anyone else had a similar problem? I bought some Kefir at the store and i'm thinking of trying that and taking probotics again. Anyone else having an thoughts or suggestions, please feel free to share!
