i found a cheaper site for think thin bars. supplements.net has all the bars for $1.30 to $1.70 per bar, and 1 product for $2.99. they sell in lots of 10 or 15 bars. vitacost.com has 4 flavor bars that are also cheaper than thinkproducts.com. the ones i liked were 150-250 calories. all bars are gf free. haven't figured out if i can buy and try them from a store.

My favorite Amy's product are the cheese enchiladas - LOTS of calories, but I plan for it ... hmmm, Mac & Cheese! emoticon I haven't had that in forever! lol

I wish more of their gf entrees were lower sodium - or am I missing something?

I like Amy's GF stuff when I really don't feel like cooking. Once in awhile when I get a craving for comfort food I take a GF Mac & cheese to school for lunch. It's not exactly healthy but it is satisfying!

I have found some Organic Food bars at Whole Foods and though they are almost $2, where else can you get a lunch for under $2 that is nutritious and filling - not in the cafeteria or any fast food restaurant!

Dot~ thanks for noticing. :)

They are expensive, but as we all know.. if you can find something GF that gives you good nutrition with something that does not taste like rear end... it is worth the cost. At least to me. I would rather pay a little more money and get what I really need to be healthy, than to deprive/hurt my body.

Also, if we keep paying these prices for now and more and more people have this problem, the cost will eventually start going down and the products will become more accessible.

If you want to be what you've always wanted, you have to give up what you've always been.

Liz - I think we're so used to "wheat" prices - where my FIL could ferret out 69 cent bags of hamburger buns! I'm grateful for these as they're thoughtful and handy nutrition. I pack fruit also, but find I'm hungry sooner... these are good enough for a snack or part of lunch on-the-go.

Food has gotten expensive though, I know what you mean. I've had to shift around a few priorities lately.

I was looking in my clean eating mag and saw an add for these... they are sugar free and GF. They have different bars for what you need/want. I was looking into their Thin line for the high protein.
