Thanks so much for your input. That helps a lot! I'll look into those.

Extracts from List serve summaries regarding
Gluten Free Blue Cheese -
May 2007 - All Rosenborg cheeses are made with mold cultures that are gluten free.
Clan Thompson mini list - Jan 2008 - Boar's Head Creamy Blue Cheese is GF

... Blue Cheese isn't gluten free. They use mold on bread to introduce the culture..... then a response ....
I just wanted to point out that both are wrong. There are any number of blue cheeses started on an artificial medium now. Call companies and ask. ...
Litehouse makes several reliably GF -- and extremely delicious -- blue cheese dressings.

Clan Thompson mini list - Feb 2008 - Bernstein's Salad Dressings: Chunky Blue Cheese (shelf-stable)

Hope this helps!

Does anyone know whether there is such a "critter" as a gluten free Blue or Roquefort type cheese out there anywhere? I adore the stuff, and of course, it isn't safe for us in its normal form. I haven't seen such a thing, but would love it if there was since it's such a great addition to salads, dips, snack crackers, etc. emoticon
