I'm down 3O cm and 8.5kg over 2 months. Been a bit slow but I have lots of medical issues and in last 4 years have only put on more and more even tried heaps if shake diets and weight watchers. I'm happy with Herbalife. I also love that it fills me up. I had a lunch yesterday and slept in so missed both shakes and even after eating I still felt picky and empty that I never get with shakes. I noticed how differently I felt and how much hl works for me. I wil do once a month to remind myself why hl works. Cause I don't feel hungry and don't pick at food.
Am not a distributer but because I'm so obese I'm not selling or advertising. Noone has noticed my loss as got so much to go but once people notice I will plug the products.
How's everyone going?

AGAR... Has anyone gotten back to you? Each person is different so a lot depends on what you eat and your exercise habits are and even your fitness level. So depending on how much you are willing to put forward will determine how much you lose... Hope this helps

Morning everyone. I came back to sparkpeople a couple of months ago and am coming back to this team today. I am still an Herbalife Distributor but I pretty much took the summer off as I was extra busy with Family stuff. I figure the best way to get my business back on track is to get my product useage and product result back on track.

Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Hi all :)

I have just come across Herbalife and will be starting it soon.
My question for everyone is in regards to the Herbalife packages.
Is it worth spending the extra money on the pills they provide for weight loss in the quick start or advanced program? Or is just doing the shakes good enough?

Thank you in advance :)

I can't have the soup because I'm allergic to eggs but some of my fellow Wellness Coaches and clients have mixed it with Tomato Sauce and rave about it...

Mostly, we do it one lb at a time... small changes, repeated until they are habits.

Nothing too earth-shattering here.... calories out exceeding calories in = weight loss.

Today i want to try eating/drinking only shakes.... about four or five.
I heard you can do this one or two days in a week (not consecutive days) to boost the weight loss.

Will post the full recipe in the recipe section!

I made a recipe up using the vanilla PDM, Chicken soup mix and non-fat greekstyle yogurt.

Been playing around with different options. So nice to have soup on these cold days.

I've not heard/seen a recipe like that. I'll ask my upline if they've seen any.

If I do find one, I'll post it in the Shakes/Recipes thread, and post here that it's there.

Revising my post:
Hello Herbalifers!
I have an odd question but thought this is the best spot to post it. Thanks in advance!

Anyone have savory soup recipe that uses vanilla Form 1 and vanilla Protein Drink mix?I I know it sounds odd.

I want to make or test a few ideas but don't want to waste product, so if anyone has a recipe I would love it...maybe with veggies including the Chicken Soup Mix?

Goal is to get at least 24 grams of protein per serving.
emoticon

Stay Calm and carry on Herbalife. This too will pass!

Thanks for sharing! I just started myself and I am a little discouraged but I like how you implemented another shake as a snack to get extra calories. I am only doing one right now and I have been told you can still lose weight this way but it is slower. I really need the good nutrition to keep my body healthy! Any suggestions would be awesome!

So I am new to this team and I just started the shakes about a week and a half ago. I am super hungry! I have not been replacing two meals with shakes only one because I feel like that is more maintainable for the long haul and I am a cook so I get super bored with two shakes a day! Can anyone share their success with me and the best tips that they have used? I have been eating 2 healthy meals and shake around 1500 calories but some days I go over that and other days I stay at 1300. I have had thyroid issues and PCOS so I am hoping these will start going away taking the shakes! I have noticed some detoxing symptoms and sluggish stuff is this normal? Love to hear from anyone!

Welcome to the team, Kristine!

I think my partner and I have all the flavors. I'm not real keen on the Cafe Latte. But that's the best thing about Herbalife - SOOO many flavors to choose from!

Have you tried adding some peanut butter to the Wild Berry? tastes like a PBJ sandwich!

Hi Everyone! I am new to Herbalife, just started on 5/22 and I decided to become a Distributor right away as well. Right now I am doing the ultimate program, minus the snack defense and total control.
I do love the products and I am not feeling very hungry lately. I have the French Vanilla and Wild Berry shake mix for now. I am not to keen on the Wild Berry. I might have to add fruit into it.
I am glad that there is a SparkTeam Page for Herbalife!!

Hi team,
I just started herbalife this past monday. So this would make me 6th day.
I can tell you already I feel lighter!!! But it is really hard when I have to do this journey on my own...my boyfriend is actually against this diet as well....
On top of that I am studying for my CPA this summer so I am bombarded..,,,
So....i would really like some support :)
I will be as dilligent as posisible!
I want to lose total of 25 lbs. i know it is a large number, but i am not in a hurry.
I would also love to be buddies to encourage one another :)
Anyways, good luck everyone!!!!

Hi Michelle:

Your story is inspirational and though 9lbs is not easy to lose, i am certain with Herbalife and a support system you can do it. I am wrapping up my 2nd week and I must say I am pleased with the way things are going...

Good Luck to you, however, I am not worried...you already have a solid plan in place!!

Hey everybody!

My name is Michelle and I'm a returning Herbalife user. I think when I first tried, I really wasn't ready to make the commitment. I was also in school and trying to work to stay there and it was really stressful. Short story: I didn't stick with it. Now I'm graduating in 2 weeks!! And I'm trying to become an Officer in the National Guard, but they won't even let me enlist until I lose another 20lbs! I'm down to 169 from 180, which is INCREDIBLE! but theses last 9lbs are killing me. I'm losing slowly (1lb a week), but my final weigh in at MEPS is in 2weeks (May 23rd)! I got back in touch with my old coach and I'm confident with my clean eating (organic) habits and daily exercise already in place, that this time around with Herbalife will be very successful! I am really excited to be back with the family :] one thing I truly love about the program, is the community, we're all in this together, so failure is not an option! I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to getting to know you all much better!

Self-Respect is the food of discipline.

Hi Aluesse

How has it been going? I started on April 28th and spent my first week focusing on making my calorie and protein goals. Snacking was key for me. The single serving Tuna and Salmon pouches were helpful along with string cheese.

I am happy to say I was down 3.5lbs my first week...
If there is any way I may be of support let me know.

and P.S. My Herbalife coach is my savior...

Hello everyone,
I am new to this group and getting ready to start an herbalife program on May 1 to go along with my exercise routine. Any suggestions or pointers that you have found helpful? I am getting the tea, vitamins, and chocolate protein shake to start

Hello everyone!

I have been doing herbalife since the beginning of year - did the 12 WLC. It was great! I signed up for the next one too. I lost a total of 17.6 pounds and 8.3% of my original body weight!! So psyched! Hoping for better results this next time too. Just ordered prolessa. although I know my problem is sticking on plan on the weekends. The shakes are good and I really use them for lunch and a snack. I have eggs and veggies for breakfast. Then a shake for lunch and a shake for a snack. My dinner is usually a lean meat, some veggies and serving of whole grain carbs. Then if I have some more room in my calories, I will have more snacks, light reduced fat cheeses, fat free greek yogurt, fruit, etc.

Zumba - be sure you're taking your measurements, too... if your clothes are fitting better, that means you've lost inches!

How is the working out going for you guys? I've been doing my shakes for two weeks now and am TOTALLY happy with this program, but I have yet to jump (back) in to working out consistently. I KNOW I need to do that, build some nice muscle, to keep my metabolism nice and revved up and look GOOD in shorts this summer (I haven't worn shorts in years)! Hoping we can all encourage one another to stay motivated! :)

:) time flies. can't believe last year went so fast really.

well last May I weighed 138. I have had marital problems, health problems and STRESS like never before. with the misdiagnosis of my health problem, antibiotics that contradicted other meds, steriods, depression from my marriage issues etc. I've gained my weight back. so I took my measurements a couple weeks ago when I finally pulled my head out of "the dark depression hole" and decided to lose this weight before I watched that scale go back up LOL so i'm really just starting over again. i'm not worried though and know this weight will come off quickly now that i'm dedicated again.

i got my tea in the mail yesterday and it already has spiked my energy which i lost for months. i couldn't get through my day without a cat nap. today I did though :) :)

okay i'm at my night job and have to run but hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

oh I did a vanilla Herbalife shake this morning and added spinach, peanut butter, a bit of banana and protein powder. it was rather good

Thanks for the suggestion on changing the name of the thread. When I created it (last year!) I was kinda hoping that perhaps there would be so much chatter on the thread that I would have to start a new one every quarter!

No worries at all with checking in here daily - I kinda like that, too... my daily updates are in my blog.

Sounds like you had a really great day..... be sure you're taking your measurements routinely also (weekly?) - sometimes our losses are inches!

I did an Herbalife challenge group for 9 months and I was told by the two Herbalife coaches never to mix it with water only low-fat/nonfat milk. I mix mine with a soy milk or coconut milk once in awhile but those calories for a meal, as Leah said, is very low

Leah you are really an inspiration! it's been awhile since i've been to this group. I just rejoined.

hmmm, that is very curious, because at 90 calories, you are not getting enough for a MEAL. If you don't consume enough calories in a day, your body will go in to "starvation mode" and STORE fat instead of eliminating it. Be sure you are consuming a minimum of 1200 calories per day.

that was what my coach for herbalife told me to do leh.mix with water only and use as meal replacement for breakfast and dinner..

I looked at the Nutrition Label for Chocolate Shake mix. The calories for the shake mix alone is 90 calories. The calories for the Shake Mix with 8 oz non-fat milk is 170 - 80 of those calories come from the milk.

If you mix the shake mix with only water, the shake is NOT a meal replacement, as it does not have enough calories in and of itself. You need to mix the shake with milk, Protein Drink Mix and water, or Almond or Soy Milk to get the calorie count up high enough for the shake to be a meal replacement.

hi,i just bought herbal life replacement meal nutrition shake of chocolate favour.
there is something i am quite confuse though,is the calories 180 calories or 90calories?
it states 2 scoope per serving,1 serving of powder is 93calories.if i just mix the powder with water,it should be 93 calories right?

I tried Prolessa and had mixed results. After talking it over with my coach - she let me know that results were reduced if you had aloe and Prolessa within 30 min or so of each other - and here I was having my shake and aloe at the same time!

I don't remember the EXACT time frame, so please don't quote me - it could be 30 minutes or an hour - just not sure anymore.

I just started using the prolessa last week and I love it!! I could already see a difference in my waist by the second day. It gives you a sense of fullness and keeps me full for a longer period of time. It's pricey but I think it's well worth the price!!

To be honest besides some walking a few days out of the week I'm not really doing anything else. I will eventually get back to the gym or join a bootcamp but as for now I love the results I'm getting from the program alone :)

I subscribed to this thread because I do use Herbalife and I love it, however I would like to know more about it! All of your knowledge is helpful in my success!!

Has anyone ordered/tried any of the new Herbalife24 products? We placed our order earlier this weekend for most of them... they'll come in later this week, but my partner won't be able to try them for almost 2 weeks, due to his work-travel schedule..... darn!

If you like pumpkin, I add a 1/4c of pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie mix) to all my shakes.
(I change off between the café late and the french vanilla.. sometimes 1 scoop of each) It's good for extra fiber and vitamins, and I like the consistency better than using ice cubes. I use 8 oz milk and 4 oz water. And if you want more pumpkin flavor, add some pumpkin spice.

This morning, My partner, his daughter, and I did a 5K in memory of the only firefighter in our county to be killed on duty. He was killed 4 years ago today in a fire. The weather was HORRIBLE (they shortened the race from a 10K to a 5K due to the weather!). We have done this race now 3 out of the 4 years - only missing last year - and don't even remember WHY we missed last year.....

Heading out in the morning to go to NC for Spring Break in the morning. Not sure how the internet access will be where we are, or even how often we'll have access.... I'll check in when I can.....

Donna - congrats on the loss!!! A loss, is a loss, is a loss... rejoice in that!

Thermo-bond is a fiber supplement that HBL offers that you can take when you're going out for a "high fat" meal. Take 1-2 before you have that meal, and it will bond with the fat in the food and "eliminate" more of it, instead of it staying with you. Not sure which week of the WLC they talk about Thermo-Bond - but ask your leader to do the "experiment" with Thermo-Bond and oil - pretty cool (or you can perhaps look for it on YouTube?)

I keep Thermo-Bond on hand all the time and my partner and I both take it. Seems to work best if you take it up to 30 minutes BEFORE eating. When I take it, I have unpleasant side effects if I take more than 2 at a time, but that's just me.

Hi Ladies!!
Looking for some advice...
Since things have been slowing down for me I thought I would try the Thermo-Bond.
(Mainly because I starting eating "regular food" 1-2 meals on the weekends)
It said you can take 1-6 tablets per day??
What is your advice?
Do I take it before I eat/after I eat?
What works best?
Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!!

Sounds GREAT Donna!

I just started a WLC last night also. Unfortunately, I have to miss next week as we'll be out of town. But I'm reallly hoping that I can ROCK it this time - I had less than optimum results the last WLC - but still managed to lose 10 lbs in 13 weeks. This challenge, I'm hoping to lose 15-20!

Well, I am having a pretty good week with the WLC I am suprised how easy it has been so far. Hope that continues!! I've been having a couple of shakes a couple of snacks and a small dinner. I guess we will see.
Hope every one is having a great week.

Hi Wanda!

Glad the weather's going to be cooperating with you!

Here, I had a BAD BAD BAD week this week. Fridays are my weigh in day and I was horrible last week. I ate my way out of house and home, didn't make it to the gym and basically feel like a big fat blob now. But this morning I started the day with 40 minutes on the elliptical and a nice HBL shake, so hopefully that will set the tone for my day!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi,
I started a Herbalife weight loss challenge tonight. It is going to be for 10 weeks. My friend and I started it together. There were 12 people total starting the challenge. I look forward to the next few weeks. My goal is 15 lbs but I will be happy with 12.
WISH ME LUCK!!!!
Donna

Had a GREAT weigh in this morning. I've broken thru the 180s in a BIG way - 178.4! I've only got a few more pounds till I'm "Fat" (overweight) instead of "obese" - I am going to make April MY month!

Hey all - just thought I'd start the chat off for April, May and June.

How is everyone doing??

Me? I just finished the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 5K this morning. I walked the entire route, no pacing, no running, just "Finishing, and having a good time doing it" - 50:53 was my unofficial "net" time
