todays exercise was to getting up early to spend about 7 hours helping my sister move. mostly packing boxes, carrying boxes, and taking boxes up and down stairs. no actual worout today, but still over 15,000 steps. may do a stretch or light fluidity workout later.

we had some snowy and cold weather this past week. it should warm up next week. i have been doing a jessica smith viedo challenge. it is 5 days and i plan to do it for 4 weeks. i want to track if my stamina and encourance improve. the last challenge i did the level 2 to level 3 was to much of a change and i would get breahless and dizzy so i had to lower the intensity a lot. so the bad weather was no excuse not to get my workouts in.

The last 3 days i have been fighting a head cold. and to add to the fun i fell on the ice and landed on my knees and elbows. i can move everything but my knees feel stiff and it was a little painful going down steps. i hope i feel better in the morning.

i went to the dentist today. i hate doing much after having fillings repaired. the novacaine tends to make me sleepy. i fought through it and ran errands. almost fell asleep talking to my dh. so tonight will be a lay low night. let my gums rest, drink exta fluid to make sure the novacaine is worked out. high cardio workouts when your gums were bleeding is very unpleasant.

I finished level 4 of my real appeal workouts. i start level 5 on sunday. the strength training of level 4 was good. i struggled with some od the high impact cardio moves. i was told by a doctor that i may have high blood pressure so when i feel my heart beating heavily i either take a break or so some lower intensity moves to lower it then return to my workout. level 1 and 2 were easy. level 3 was a lot of jumping jacks and other pylos. so i am not looking forward to level 5 cardio. although i am r eady for a new strenght challenge.

no concerns about gym hours for me. i love exercising in my basement, i have 5 weeks of my current scheduled workout challenge. i have been struggling with uping my intensity so that i feel like i worked but dont get overly tired or headachy. there was a cardio routine that was mostly jumping jack variations. id get a bit dizzy after the 2nd circuit. it happend after doing plank jacks. i hink the staning moves then plank/mountain climbers when my heart rate was high was the cause. i have some other videos that have swuat thrusts and mountatin climbers where i have a 30 seconds of low impact before hitting the ground. i will try those videos to see if i still struggle but i have not in the past.

i have been doing low impact/intensity exercises this week. i started feeling sick on monday - wed. i was better last night so i will continue next week at level 3 and takethe week to fully fet rid of the sinus thing. of course next week starts sunday so i wond have a long wait.

i started real appeal level 3 last night. i am a bit cramped up today. not sure if it is workout, TOM or from hubby's sick office mates. i have 3 more at level 3 to do this week so i think i can do a light or recvoery workout tonight, mostly i want to keep moving but i feel tired and blah.

i am taking a break from my push up goals. i was challening myself to do 50 full pushups in a day. the first time i challenged myself i made it to 15 full pushups then i had a shoulder pinch and i stopped. i started doing it again and made it to 35.not sure why i struggle with this challenge. so i think i am going to go pack to modified pushups but do all the reps with full range of motion. i will work on contracting my abs more to help with stability and then once in a while go back to doing them on my toes.

Hello team!

I had to come off of my diet as was losing weight too rapidly. I did not want to become sick. So, I am returning to the job of "chef" to two housemates and myself. I am happy when I cook, so there you have it. I will put the JoAnna M. Lund recipes to good use! Go JoAnna M. Lund Sparkteam!

I submitted an article yesterday to the newspaper I write for on the topic of forgiveness. It was rather hard on me as I have some people in my life I am having a struggle with forgiving. So, I did not preach (as I would have been an hippocrite) but basically said if you forgive you are giving your own self a gift.

While organizing my office yesterday, I found book after book that I bought and never read yet. Some fitness, religious, cookbooks...even a new English bible... My Catholic bible has worn out pages, my Joyce Meyer bible I do not understand. So, I picked up an English bible at a thrift store and will start reading. I understand Psalms and Proverbs, but the rest of the bible is so hard for me. Anyone else have difficulty? Go Christian Living Sparkteam!

Today is guess what? Coupon day! I got a tip in an e-mail that there should be three inserts today! I do not have a newspaper subscription but I have friends who save their coupon inserts for me. Hey, one person's trash is another person's treasure! Go Nifty & Thrifty Sparkteam!

Well, I am a plain as ever girl today. Perhaps if I had a man in my life I would fix myself up. I usually will not leave the house without my hair and make-up done. People still criticize my application. I like lots of make-up and big hair. However, when you are around two girls almost twenty-four hours a day, why bother? Go my beauty and singles Sparkteams! Give me a good kick in the petunia!

I now have a baby crockpot bought by a friend at a yard sale! Woo Hoo! I just have not figured out what to make in it yet...any recipes? I figure it would be good for dips. Go crockpot team!

sometime i get frustrated wehen i do more intense workouts and i will be heavily sweating and brething bnut it does not rrecord a lot od steps on my fitbit. but if i do a WATP video, i am constnatly moving but i am not pushing myself but i get a bunch of steps.

I will be restarting my real appeal workouts. I generally dont like a lot od structure but doing 4 specific workouts, 2 cardio and 2 full body strength. i rembered level one as being on the easy side, but i want to focus on mindful workouts and doing things with full range of motion. after 2 weeks at level 1 i hope to be more focued on my goals.

have not been exercising much this week. my youngest sister is getting married tmorrow, my other sister had a baby on monday so we went to the hospital 3 times. tonight is rehersal dinner. i was a dork and did not take any extra days off. so i feel more tired then i'd like to be.

I found an app on my phone called 7min workout that's a pretty awesome interval program. And because it's only 7 minutes, it fits perfectly into my day.

Last Sunday I did Day 1 of a C25k program. I'm wanting to get back into running, but being mindful of the calf injury that put me out of commission a year ago. Today is the first day since Sunday that I'm not feeling pain in my calf, so I may get out there this afternoon for Day 2. Just taking it really slowly for now.

garden is in. i am still planting some marigolds to organically repeal critters, my cardio workouts are not very intense, but i am getting better at my strenght. i think i need to find more circuit videos. mostly to helpe keep me focused. a list of 6-7 moves is simple but i wonder if i am taking too long of breaks or not working as effectivly by not supersetting or adding an interval. i want to p my intensity but my stomache gets made at me if i do.

issues with the tiller mean i had to do about 1/3 of my garden with more elbow grease. i hope stuff still does ok. but i am am annoyed that the 1st tiller stopped and started leaking gas. the borrowed one was not strong enough to break new ground. the new purchase one had a broken safety cluctch so we almost had injuries. so today- after 4 days of fighting- i had a tiller for the rest. so this week was a lot of exercises in patience. i did strenght training 1 day. but otherwise i was at work, and i came home and was outside till it was almost dark. then quick eat supper and get ready for bed and next work day.

i have not been exercising in my basement much. i did spend the week doing outdoor work. today i was kayaking and it was fun. also played a little tennis later. i look forward to foing more outside and being more active on a daily basis. i just hope my energy level comes back.

Found out this year I have sleep apnea. I am at a mild case of it to where weight loss can help. The normal amount of times you stop breathing in an hour is 5 times and I am at a 8 times an hour. I got tested with the CPAP machine and I didn't feel any better with it than without it. I was groggy, had a headache, and couldn't remember a whole lot the day because of the CPAP machine. I told the nurse this and she said if I changed my mind to call and they will order a machine. I doubt it. I have a ton of energy and feel a lot better without it.

my push up challange has been nil for over a week now. . i hurt my neck/upper back last week. then on friday i caught either what my hubby has or something from someone at work. i have caughing fits were i hack up phlem. so exercise has only happend 2x in the last 7 days. so i am crabby. i love exercsie but my body aches and i cant breathe well enough to do cardio, yoga or descent strength training.

i took an extra day off from my pushup challenge. i did something to the back of my shoulder. i pinched a nerve i think. it hurts when i move it. it was fine during my early afternoon workout but by 6 pm it was hurting. hope it is better tomorrow. i want to get back to my workouts,

i took a week off from strength training. i took another week to decide what the nect challenge/routine would be. then last week was nuts. so 3 weeks with no strength training
my nexy challenge will be a pushup challenge - real ones, not on the kness. i am going to redo the real appeal strenght videos 2x per week. i am going to use heavier weights for all the moves and i am using a tougher resistance band.

i have been hearing people talk about the gyms the joined but almost never go to because they dont have time. i work out at home and although i may loose track of time i almost always find some time for a workout. i am currently doing my videos drom th real appeal program. there are 5 levels that each have a 30 min cardio and a 30 min strength. i am currenrly on week 2 of 3 of level 4 (say that 5 times fast). i have 1 more week of level 4.

Hello, all! I've been MIA because BF and I took a 2-week trip to Ecuador for the holidays! It is so gorgeous there. And what I appreciated the most was that people looked, by American standards, to live in poverty, but they simply lived to their needs and felt no desire to live in excess. It was a stark contrast to this capitalist society we live in here in the U.S. and a breath of fresh air. Here's a pic of BF and me just outside Otavalo. So much greenery!


We got back early early Wednesday morning. In other, less exciting, news, my Gramps passed away this morning. Technically cause of death was starvation, brought on by Alzheimers. His directive stated that if he did not eat or drink on his own then he was not to be artificially fed. He only lasted a couple weeks once that started. The family will be flying to Denver for the memorial and then driving to Liberal, Kansas for the burial. My family and I are strapped for cash, so I started a GoFundMe to help with airfare, car rental, and hotel. Feel free to message me if you'd like the link to contribute or to share with others.

I'm fighting acid reflux right now and I can't even exercise. It will act up if I exercise.

I'm down to 200 pounds now.

i did level 3 cardio of 5 on my exercise . tomorrow is strenght level 3. 1 was easy. the strenght was way to easy. i am ok with using level 1 cardio if i am ever sick, not feeling well or am sore. it is good for getting the blood flowing but is not tireing. level 2 was enjoyable for strength and cardio. it suggested using 5- 8 lb weights but i was using 10-15 for some of the moves so i felt it was time to go to level 3

i did level on of my new videos. it was easy, barely broke a sweat. level 2 is starting to get easier. i am alerady doubleing up the weight for some of the moves. i think iwll do it 1 more time this week and then start up with level 3 next week.

i did my real appeal level 2. i love getting new videos. it prevents me from eve getting bored and the price is low or free when i get them online.

I have some new exercise videos from Real Apeal. i did the level 1 cardio and strength. i did sweat but it was not very challenging. will do level 2 tomorrow.

no look on being an early morning exerciser. i get up at 620 for normal workdays and on weekend i am tired and want to sleep in. on the other hand i try to workout right when i get home. i oven split my workout into 2 shorter ones if pressed for time. my inlaws visiited so i was able to show off my house and my basement exercise space,

Has anyone successfully converted themselves to a morning workout person? I like the idea of accomplishing my workout first thing but am skeptical that I can will myself out of bed earlier than I already do...

today was a little busy. i know a lot of gyms were closed today, but it was no effect on me. i got in 1 workout before going to my grandma and grandpas. then i came home, took a nap and got in a short workout before going to my parent hosue.

i have been doing well with my daily workouts. i found some new videos along with some old ones i have not done in a while. i am mentally struggling because i have a fitbit but if i do strength training work i dont get my steps, but high step workouts are not always as intense as some other ones. but i am trying to make sure i stay challenged.
