Barefitness- The sun has been playing tricks on us as well. It was nice today, although extremely windy. We were planning on ging to the lake and sunbathing but the wind made it impossible.

This morning I went for my 4 mile run and then went to the hairdresser's. We are celebrating hubby's birthday so nothing much beyond hanging out with him.

thanks tatercat~I'm adjusting to the new phone....I'm always one to fight change :P Weather's been having bit of a freak out,,,,,the sun can't seem to decide if going to break up this cloud cover or not. I need to clean the back yard~need to buy some sunscreen and more shorts....I'm soooo ready for summer!

Barefitness - phones are expensive but they also have the capability of a whole computer, so I figure that they are worth it. emoticon

Weather has been lovely here~ready to bust out the shorts! Been celebrating my birthday all week (more by necessity than want) time for new glasses....and then my phone freaked out, so gave in and upgraded to a new "smart phone" ugh sell my soul to apple and an iphone :P Already don't like can't record my personal ringtones.

Imreite – Great job on the workouts! Lots of people end up just relaxing if they are tired. emoticon

Yesterday I did 2 workouts at home – ST and core. I also did them in the basement but I always have to rearrange the furniture to make room. emoticon

i am so lucky to have a workout area in my basement. i have been so tired this week, i would not have been willing to drive to a gym workout then drive home. i like tat i can just get my shorts, pop in a video and go when i am ready.

Renee - That sounds like a lot of lifting!
Stacy - I like your May goal - I think it would be best to stay away from the scale for a while.

My headache is slowly going away. I haven't worked out since Saturday and I think that today I am OK enough to get back to it.

Did some walking today but not as much as I wanted and some lifting. Car parts that was REALLY needed and a 20 pound bag of grass seed. Probably will be lifting more tomorrow for the garage here town. The owner wanted us to get some more but the price they wanted a bag he didn't send enough. He wanted 3 but we ended up getting 1 bag. Probably get 2 more tomorrow and I will be going in to get the seed and taking it out to the vehicle since dad gets tired easily and still recovering.

It is very frustrating Stacy, but do not give up. Muscle is heavier, and it is building, trust me. Scale is not everything, and although it is the easier option to track, it is not tracking everything....case in point....When I train more, and lift more weights, my weight goes higher than my target weight. If I take it easy and only workout a bit, I go below my target weight.
The weight will start dropping as well soon.
Hang in there..

Have had a headache since Saturday, so my workouts are going to be slim. emoticon

UP to 173.6 ?? Muscle emoticon
Hubby and Son made comments yesterday on my new muscle definition in my arms and calves...
I have had 2 sodium alerts this week (Body Media) and I did have 2 days of a "normal" slice of Hubby's Birthday Pie.. I was in 600 Cal deficits those days though?
Maybe I will get a *woosh* of loss soon?
Not gonna worry bc I can see myself becoming sculpted, so something good is happening. My scale is a good one (only a few ounces off from Dr. Office readings) so here lately I have been totally stumped by not getting results I feel I deserve..

Sorry to hear that Renee... My FIL (Late 60's) is in/out of hospital with COPD Issues.

emoticon I'm in a very sour mood today which is so NOT Me!

Had a hard night at work and then around 3AM my allergies went nuts and I was sneezing and couldn't breathe. Got up and blew my nose and took allergy meds, went back to bed and continued sneezing and tossing/turning. No quality sleep at all.

I have ZERO energy. *sigh*

Tonight will be a long night at work I tell ya..

I feel like a complete zombie.

When I lose weight, my back hurts. Some people think that I'm not drinking enough water but I am. I drink at least 2 liters (8 glasses) a day. I always get the back pains when I lose weight. I've had back pains off and on since Thursday and thought that I've lost weight but haven't.

Had to take my dad to the emergency room Thursday. He was having problems getting over whatever he was having. It was messing with his COPD. He was getting really tired to where on Monday I was having to wheel him out in a wheelchair that Target had just to get him to our vehicle even though our vehicle wasn't too far away. He was on a 2nd round of antibiotics and a z pack but those weren't working. Now he's on an antibiotic and a steroid. And he seems to be doing fine. He'll be 78 years old next month on the 23rd.

Leslie – Glad that you found an activity tracker that works for SP. $7 for four months is a really great price. I hate morning workouts but it is best to get them out of the way.

Yesterday I ran 2 miles; and today is a cross-training day. I think that me and hubby will go bike riding.

Ok, I had to give up on my Spark Activity Tracker once and for all (sad). However, I have a friend/co-worker that had a body media that she no longer uses and brought it in to me today (happy) I offered to pay her for it (I know how expensive they are) but she said she won't use it anymore so I could have it. I am so excited (especially since Stacy told me it was compatible with SP). I got it all set up tonight and got the subscription for it and I got the first three months free so I have four months for $7, that should be plenty of time to see if I like it or not.

I got back on my workouts yesterday morning before work, it makes for an early morning, but it seems to work best for me. So I am feeling pretty great this week so far.

I am going to go relax and read for a bit before bed. Stacy, I hope your husband has a great birthday, even with the late celebration. Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

I need to buy some 5lb dumbbells, because all I have are 3lbs and 10lbs. They are good for some exercises, but I feel I need a pair in between for other workouts.

Yesterday I attended a PiYo class which is a fusion of Pilates and Yoga. It was a great session, and I liked the instructor. She really challenged us and not done things at beginner's level only.

Onwards we go!

I'm trying to find the comfy hand weights like Leslie has for the walking dvd's.. Gonna go to Academy Tomorrow. Walmart and Target don't have them.

I also need to go up in weight for the Firming Walk ..Only have 3 lb dumbbells at this time.

Love the walk it off in 30 dvd with her! It is intense but fun!

Stacy - Losing around hips and midsection is the hardest part! Wow, way to go! Keep doing what you are doing because it is certainly working for you.
Don't forget the weights! Lately I have been seeing a difference in body composition and I know it is because of the weights.

I didn't sleep well last night so I am really tired today. No worries - I am still gearing up for an active week!
Yesterday I prepared some food for the week, so I do not have to spend too much time in the kitchen and have more time for running emoticon

Janet - No worries, I was just seeing what might be out there that people are using. I have become so dependent on my steps and so many of the teams are using that as a goal/challenge I don't like being left out lol. I just really wish my SPAT would work, I know a lot of people are talking about having a heart rate monitor rather than an activity tracker. May be another thing to check out. Thanks so much!

MILLER31313 - Currently I do not use any activity tracker. I just do the workouts and then log them on SP. The only tracker I use is MapMyRun which tracks my speed/distance/time when I run, walk or bike. I have heard that Fitbit works great, but I never personally had one. If I will ever invest in a tracker, I really want a heart rate monitor as it is the most accurate tracker for calorie burning.
I am sorry that I cannot be helpful, but I didn't want you to think that I am ignoring your question.

I have had an active weekend and now I am trying to relax before my work week starts. I hope everyone is doing well. Have a great Sunday.

I, unfortunately, have to replace my Spark Activity Tracker with something else, as the dongle sync point and my computer apparently don't like each other. So I was wonder what device some of you use to count steps and/or track activity. I was thinking about investing in the Fitbit because I LOVE the Spark Activity Tracker, but wanted to see if anyone else uses one before I spend a lot of money on anything.

Workin' 5 ta Close tonight so I will be in a huge deficit by the time I get home.. (Close to midnight)

I'm about to have lunch and then work out!

Our "busy" season has officially started at Cracker Barrel, so we will stay busy and I'll run my legs off and make good money! lol

It will be sorta frustrating though bc we have soooo many new people and that makes my closing duties harder.

They assume once they are cut from the floor/taking tables they are just done and can only work on side work and rolling silverware.. NOT!!

I have to force them to clean/set their tables up first so I can sign them off and then they no longer want to run food or help. *sigh*

They don't understand that when the floor is cut WE get busier bc rotation goes faster for those that are left and we still need a helping hand!

I just have to put on my bossy britches and holler at people. emoticon

Yesterday I did some stretching and yoga in preparation for my 10K training. I also did some core workouts. Today I should start my running portion of the training and I am confident about the first few weeks because they are not longer than I am used to.

My weekend was busy but I wish I did more running. It was so windy – 30mph and higher and I was being a baby and didn’t want to be out in it.

No worries. It is a brand new week and I am determined to start training for my 10K- wind, dust, and all. Bring it on!

WOW...What a few days we have had...

My car broke down in the middle of the intersection while on my way to get groceries..

My Bubba was attacked by the Ninja and had to go to hospital..(Ninja blender that is..LOL.. As he was pouring drink the blade came out and his reaction was to catch it!)

Same day I'm trying to get car repaired our AC goes out at the house....

Stacy - I like the Jeans Challenge.

Yesterday I went to a Yoga Fusion class that uses weights and yoga. It was interesting but not my favourite. I got some ideas out of it that I can use at home. I also did a 30 minute ab attack class which was intense emoticon

I have had a busy week so far..LOL

Found some more things at Old Navy and finally got to use gift card at Charming Charlie and love my new costume jewelry!

Still waiting on my top to arrive from JCPenny...Taking forever!

Haven't had a very good "on track" week though.. Monday brought my cycle and the bloating and cramps have been extreme this time around.. *BLAH!*

Low energy as well.

Excited for next week though bc many of us at my spark team are doing the Skinny Jeans Challenge (we did it in Dec. but many of us became ill and didn't finish) so we are gonna give it another go!
I'm also excited to use/start my new Leslie dvd - Walk It Off In 30 with walking and firming days 6 days a week! emoticon

I am okay, just tired all the time. meds, probably.

Did one set of bicep curls, triceps and obliques with 5 lb weights and one set of 12 sinkups. I might just roll out that Tai Chi video I bought just before disaster struck! if not tonight, then tomorrow.

(I can feel the burn in my arms, and I hardly did anything at all! Got a long road ahead....LOL)

Still here. I knew I had taken a few days off, just didn't realize how long it's been!

Feeling a little run down, so I've been taking it easy. Got my Picc line out, wound is healed, have been trying my hand at sink ups. To start, I think I will just lift some weights with my left arm - I can so tell the difference in strength!

Weather has been on again off again. We are still mostly below freezing at night and barely above during the days, but at least the sun has been out when it isn't raining or snowing. The temps are colder, but this is kind of a typical spring for NE Ohio.

Hubby told me that I just received the clothes I ordered this week. I never order online because I like to try them on first because of fit, etc...Hopefully they will fit and look good!

I'm finally well...That was a bad one I tell ya!

Today is Grocery Store Day at Super Target..

Clothes Shopping Adventure at the Mall Tuesday:

I truly don't have a "wardrobe" bc it's 1 pair of jeans, 2 pairs of capri pants and a few tops I can make look like different outfits with colored tanks I wear under them to make them look different as well as costume jewelry and stylish scarfs.

I hang on to stuff way too long bc I got soooo sick and traumatized from going up and down * up and down!

I finally have come to a point now where I'm tired of WAITING for my Goal Day...

I tell myself now: "You are ALIVE and BREATHING right now ... In the moment...

Live NOW and ENJOY the Journey. YES, shopping is still going to be frustrating and a little depressing but take your time and find the right pieces (that luck and good timing will bring) and feel pretty now where you are and feel accomplished now (after losing 24 lbs last year) and go from there."

Like Tuesday at the mall. Jeans are ALWAYS my issue and just about bring me to tears.
I found the perfect pair right off the bat!

Dillard's is having a huge sale on NYDJ label.. (the are unique and I've never been able to afford them.. They cater to those with issues. They are soft like Pajama Jeans and don't create a muffin top. They have the "slimming technology" in tummy, hips and thighs.)

I got my pair for $45 !!!! (Original price $120!)

I'm still not thrilled about my inner thighs but they still looked pretty decent. The rest of my legs and my butt looks awesome in them! emoticon Good enough for me!

Before, I would have put them back just bc of my inner thighs.

My shockingly crazy issue Tuesday were TOPS and BLOUSES! emoticon

I'm still dazed and confused! emoticon

I tried on tons of stuff from every store! Could not find one dang top!

The style this year seems to be Sheer and Short in the front/long in back.. I want/need the complete opposite! I want my tummy covered and want to show off my new butt.

With everything being so sheer, you need a cami or tank under it and that just made me more bulky looking.

PLUS - the new material everyone seems to be using is the form fitting type and that is a NO GO re: me! I do not want my midsection roll emphasized or my pookie tummy!

I did find a few tops that looked great like Reba's Line and Liz Claiborne but I cannot pay $60 - $80 for 1 blouse! That broke my heart!

I indeed gave up when the last top I tried on by Liz Claiborne looked great and was on sale.. $45.. It was denim like with cuffed drawn short sleeves and had a great cut to it and not full button down. I could have left some buttons open and used different scarfs, tanks and jewelry to make it 5 new outfits! Only 1 in my size and I found a freakin' hole in it!!!

SCREAMS! emoticon

So... Back to square 1 trying to spice up my closet a bit.

At least I'm trying though... A big step 4 me! emoticon

I will check out Super Target today before grocery shopping and maybe I will find a blouse or two? Most often I'm never able to buy clothes there bc they cater to skinny people. (Same for walmart.. Their plus size clothing is always unattractive and tent-like)
*roll eyes*

If I don't find anything - I will try Kohl's next week...

I'm so anxious to find some new tops so I can use my gift card for Charming Charlie!

OMG I love that store! All the jewelry, scarfs, purses and shoes you could ever imagine!

Yesterday I targeted my upper body, and tonight it’s my legs’ turn. I plan on a run, but if it gets too windy, I want to try my hand at an Insanity workout.

We are half way through the week!
JumpUp – It took me a long time to get the tape goo off as well. I used alcohol where I could to take some of it off, but since everywhere hurt, I barely touched the skin. It will come off don’t worry. You definitely should listen to your body and take some days off if you need to.

Stacy and Tabbie – I hope that your week has been good to you girls.

Yesterday I tried some interval running, and that was exhausting! I did 30 seconds as fast as I could muster, and 2:00 mins. low intensity running. 30 seconds didn’t seem too long when I programmed my timer, but I soon realized that I should have done less emoticon
– maybe 15 seconds to start with. Next time I’ll do intervals I will do 15 secs, and see how that goes.

I might go to the gym tonight, and I have some groceries to pick up…..so it will be a busy evening for me.

Missed a couple days, but did get some activity in (not a lot). Feeling a little bit run down. And I think a few days off wont kill me, huh?

Did some sink ups. Oh, yeah, we will be starting over on those. Lifted a few bags of groceries, that seems about right. Arm is getting stronger and "wound" is all healed. Still can't get all the tape marks off my inner arm, though - I have been using baby oil on a cotten ball, and I just can't quite reach all the awkward places!

Stacy, sorry you have been down for the count - there is almost, - almost - nothing worse than a bladder infection. Hope it's over soon.

Tater, glad to hear you are getting so much activity in!

Person sharing their room whose name has slipped my mind, I am so sorry: I hope the situation resolves itself for you soon. Add some deep breathing - in through the nose, out through the mouth to a slow count of 4 each way. It will help you keep calm through this disruption in your life. AND you can do it in front of your brother and his family! They'll never notice!

I have been MIA the past few days (missed my work weekend as well) due to horrible bladder infection.. emoticon BOOOOO on all the bloating, cramping and feelin' so run down!

Not to mention it broke my wonderful exercise/fitness streak.. Now, I'm once again off track for the moment. emoticon *screams*

I have done my best to keep my cals at lower end of range since I'm not able to exercise at this time. I have missed some planned healthy snacking though bc who wants to eat when you feel like crap? Not me!

Hoping this is the LAST DAY of the low energy and blah feeling?!

Doctor said my bacteria count was very high and that is why I'm feeling so low and slow.
