I do for my walks with Leslie Sansone. I need good support as I have probs especially with one of my ankles, so doing the walks barefoot wouldn't be good. (Tried it already..)
For pilates, yoga & barre obviously no shoes.

I have those anti-gravity shoes, but not on carpet, they stick. I usually do Leslie Sansone without shoes, and floor work. Should wear shoes all the time, I have bad ankles! Happy Halloween!

I just got new running shoes, and I need to wear them at home for a while to make sure they work before I take them outside. So I've been wearing them while I work out, and it's really hard to get adjusted to! I do think it is helping when I do aerobics and stuff. but my arches are getting used to the added support. Still not convinced these are the best shoes for me, but that's why I'm wearing them around in the house to see!

I used to never wear shoes to workout, but then I started doing walking too.One day I still had them on when it was time for my daily workout with Jillian and ...WOW!!!It really does make a differnce.I was always on my tiptoes without the shoes, but with them on I felt different leg muscles being worked so I started wearing shoes for all exercise.

I try not to wear them most of the time, because walking and exercising barefoot activate muscles that are usually neglected. I do wear shoes when I strength train because you're supposed to do it when using weights, as a safety precaution.

Not for strength exercises or for stretching. I prefer not to for the Leslie Sansone DVDs, but sometimes do.

Wear running shoes for running on treadmill, cross trainers for step and weight training. No shoes when I do kickboxing!

It's probably why I do like working out at home so much! I really don't like shoes, ok I LOVE shoes - they are so cute. BUT, I don't like to keep them on! LOL emoticon

I never wear shoes except for my step machine, because it hurts my feet otherwise. And then I just wear some little slip-ons.

I always wear shoes and different ones for specific things: running shoes for running, cross trainers for pretty much everything else.

I absolutely wear shoes on the elliptical, strength training, and when using some workout dvds. I never wear shoes for stretching, yoga, or dancing. I think the shoes are very important for proper support and stability when doing some exercises.

When I do videos and the instructor is wearing shoes then I'm wearing shoes...when they are not wearing shoes then I don't wear my shoes. When I lift weight I always wear shoes. My own routine depending on the workout I will (running, intense cardio routines) or will not wear shoes (yoga, pilates, stretching).

I would say definitely wear shoes. They give you support for your body, especially your knees. I haven't tried "barefoot" shoes...they seem like a fad to me.

I have tried to wear shoes on my elliptical but I just can't stand to so I just don't wear shoes when I exercise.

Not just to do weights, but if there is any bouncing or running I do. I have a pair of shoes in my workout room that have never been worn outside. Then when I buy a new pair about once a year they graduate to my walk the dog shoes. :)

I don't! The only thing I need my shoes for is the elliptical, but I am not able to do that very long right now.

I do Wii Fit exercise, my exercise bike and strength training all at home with no shoes on. I put them on sometimes, or just don't take them off if they were already on. I was wondering if that was bad for my feet (I do have flat feet - and need to go find better shoes!) But with all the "barefoot" shoes they have now, I wonder if it is just fine to workout barefoot.
