WOW - not much action on this thread is there?!! I listened to SparkRadio earlier today while cleaning house and decided to start a new streak - I reset my goals and decided I would visit one SparkTeam and two SparkFriend a day... now I can always visit more if I have time but I figure this is achievable with out spending too much time on my behind not focusing on fitness. I figure if I am checking in with everyone daily it will encourage me to log my nutrition and fitness.

Today I am going to visit all my teams and leave this message so I can get started. Then I will begin rotating around. I hope this team is active but since I am replying to myself from several months ago ...

Well, if anyone reads this I wish you a great day and hope you reply!

HELLO! I've been hiding for a while :( I started a second job, daughter started a job and went back to school. I needed a little while to figure out a schedule that incorporated good eating and work outs! I think I have it. I hope things are going well for you. I plan to check in more often with my SparkFriends and SparkTeams. I miss y'all!

Have a Spark-a-licious Spark-tastic Spark-y Spark-ful day!

I do this a lot with my walk away the pounds video and my star trainers videos. It really does help reach goals faster.

Hey GT76, welcome aboard!

I read parts of a FIRM workout book... and the idea is working ST and Cardio together brings results. So they workout all the muscle groups, daily. IF I remember correctly.

So I'll use me for an example, I do the Strong Lifts 5x5, (but I admit I'm not longer working out at home) it's a barbell workout and it's getting heavier every week. I can still do a Bob Harper or Jillian Michaels workout on the days in between. IF you're not lifting heavy then you can do them daily.

I can understand the boredom. I love working out at the gym with the muscle heads because it motivates me. Besides, they have equipment that I don't have. And unfortunately, due to circumstance beyond my control, I lost ALL of my dvd workouts. So, I go online for them.

When you're traveling, I recommend HIIT training. I think you'd enjoy it and it would spice it up.

Glad you joined the team!

Hello Team Members!

I am new to the team. My name is Jennifer. I have been on SP for 5 years now, but decided to branch out to some other teams that have similar workout tastes that I do.

I workout at home and need to be able to travel with my workouts (DVDs, weights and laptop) since I travel a lot for work. My favorites are Turbo Jam and ANY Firm workout but I've gotten into a rut lately. I'm bored.

I would do Firm workouts every day since I have so many, but since they incorporate strength training I wasn't sure if that was a good idea. I know you're supposed to rest between weight days, but don't know if that applies to the Firm workouts. If I do need to skip days, then the strictly cardio workout to do in between is what I'm bored with.

Does anyone have any recommendations for new/similar workouts I could try? Do any of you do Firm workouts every day?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

~JENN~

Yay on the PowerFit rotation. I still haven't used that one. I'm determined to get through the Ripped dvds before doing any other toning workouts.

Unfortunately, today I'm feeling a bit crappy and today is a Ripped day. Headaches and exercise don't mix in my case as it makes my headaches worse. Hoping this will go away by the time I get home.

Way to go on getting through the Leslie challenge! I'm currently working on Stephanie Huckabee's Powerfit 30 day walker's rotation. I'm on day 10 and haven't missed a day. I've modified a bit by adding some extra cardio, switching my rest days, and adding some extra stretching, but so far it's been a great experience. I know, just 10 days in, but I've been feeling really good about myself lately for being able to do this. So yea me!

I made it through the Leslie October challenge with some modifications. Due to starting Ripped I didn't do the 5 milers on those days.

I'm looking forward to my next workout :-)

This is a thread for those of us who have stopped and now getting back on track. For those in need of encouragement and a place to vent frustrations, a place to share victories and setbacks.

Of course please log your workouts as well :-)
