Family: Billy Gibbons, the son of a financially well-off family living in the Tanglewood suburb of Houston, never married. Dusty Hill is divorced with a college-age daughter. Frank Beard is married and has two twin boys and a daughter who reportedly goes to college in Houston and will be part of the University class of 2001.
I am trying to find something to back that up, because it is so interesting, but nothing yet. The following quote came from Wikipedia:
Gibbons has a recurring role, on the Fox network TV series Bones. He plays a fictionalized version of himself, as the father of Michaela Conlin's character Angela Pearly Gates Montenegro. Note Conlin's character's middle name is the same as Gibbons' trademark Les Paul guitar. Gibbons' character is extremely protective of his daughter, and he often "threatens" or "haunts" Jack Hodgins, now her husband, that if he hurts Angela, he will pay. He has appeared in several episodes, most recently to ask Hodgins to help him recover his car, the ZZTop Eliminator, from some "biker hoods".

I think we'll see what's been happening while they've been gone through bits and pieces here and there. Cam will probably say little things to clue us in, and maybe one or two of the replacements will stick around for a little while to shake things up further.
I love that they've done this. The dynamics will have changed just enough to make the show fresh.

So, I noticed the next season starts Friday, June 18, 2010. I know this may sound crazy, but do you think this will be after the 'year' they are off and begin with bringing them back? Or will it be Cam and the 'new' forensic anthropologists? I realize it would not be 'Bones' without Booth and Brennan; however, I wondered if they would explore Cam's relationships.

I'm with you, GCHUNG--I was glad to see everyone was leaving (well, almost everyone). Even with Cam's story line, her "daughter" will be in a much different place and that means she can develop a personal life (with the GYN?)
So much can change, but still be on a good path! At least no one is near death this year...

With the entire team basically taking a hiatus the show can start up just a year later in the fall. It will offer an opportunity for the characters to develop in different ways.
- Angela and Hodgins - 1st year of marriage often the toughest, do they make it - Bones - has she been reignited with her own passions in anthropology to move away from the the investigative work. Absence makes the heart grow fonder or Out of sight out of mind - Booth - war changes everyone - it will be interesting to see how he brings that influence back to his previous relationships - Sweets - noone is waiting for each other so did he move on? - Cam - the lone remaining - what has the Jeffersonian been doing the past year
Would you believe, my Fox station stuck a commercial right into the middle of the goodbye? AARRGGHH!!!
Daisy is no loss. I hope she stays in Indonesia. Of course, Bones and Booth will both be back, sooner not later (or we won't have a show, will we?). It'll be interesting to see how that plays out, and whether Booth gets into trouble for going AWOL to see her at the airport.
Angela's dad is an interesting character, isn't he? Makes me wonder about Mom...
