Sasserfrass (aka Sassy) is now barking when someone knocks at the door, it's so funny, she is usually hiding when she barks.

She turned a year old yesterday, and she doesn't run out the door anymore, and is always making sure where I am. If someone comes into the house she will always try to find me, even if I am moving around. My cat and her both sleep on the bed, the cat has a good 12 pounds on her, as he is atleast 4 or 5 inches taller then her both ways. She still looks like puppy. She is only like 5 inches in length and about 4 inches in height (I keep wanting to go cm)

I have to laugh when I see her run, because it looks more like hopping or flying when she gets going as she leaps in the air

Yeah, my little 10 year old double dapple blind dachshund is a rescue, too. I may have mentioned her, fished out of the river. Poor baby. She is stuck to ME like glue. I just adore her, she's so funny. Now that she's getting much better food, she's starting to play. Now, that is fun!

Yes, I have and Dog Town, they have some Pit Bulls and rescue dogs from fighting. It takes about 2 years to rehab dogs from anything, from breeder abuse to fighting. The dashund I have now is a rescue, she spent the first year of her life in a kennel unsocialized in all ways. Now she is atleast glued to me and my cat. She is also now checking people out on our walks but after they pass us, if they approach her she is terrified, but not to the point where she pees like she used to. It's a long process but I also check out his website and email questions when I need answers. I love the guy.

Have any of y'all actually watched the Dog Whisperer? He has like 30 pit bulls! They are all so incredibly sweet. Every single pit bull I've ever met was a sweetie. Every one. I'd love to have one, but I have five dogs already. LOL

Oh I agree, that is why I was so glad they didn't add to the Pit Bull's rap, I had a Pit Bull, she was so sweet, she was a rescue case too. I love all dogs, and I think Pit Bulls are so sweet. All bad reps are from the owners.

I don't know if you watch Animal Planet but I can catch it every once in a while is the rescue show with the Animal Cops. They have pit bulls a lot on there.

A pit bull given proper training and supervision is a fine dog. I met a friend's pit bull once, and he was the biggest baby I've ever seen. Same with Rottweilers -- they've gotten a major bum rap.

Ninety-nine percent of the time it's the owner's screw-up, but the dog takes the fall.

I felt so bad for the dogs last night but its so true what happens to dogs in those dog fights, however usually it's pit bulls that are used. I never heard or seen so many German Shepards being used. I am glad that they did use other dogs, gave the Pit Bulls a break, those dogs have enough of a bad rep already.

Is there even a question? Of course I will!

Oddly, I missed last night's episode in first run. Someone here said she didn't like Sweets -- I thought he earned the name "Sweets" last night. Beautiful the way he handled Hodgins' pain.
