I think Bones like everything separate, like Sweets said. I think the lines are lines are getting to crossed for Bones and that is making it harder for her. Max, is especially harder because of her moral and ethical belieives.
It seemed totally normal to me for Bones not to want her dad to work there as she likes to keep work seperate from her private life. She has always seemed to compartmentalize everything and doesn't like to blend things.

I had taped the show, so I got to watch a few times, I still find that Sweets annoying. I like that intern. At first I thought what is up with Bones, not wanting her Dad to work there. I was under the impression she had got closer to her Dad when he was on trial. But, I loved that scene with Max talking to Booth about his relationship with Bones. Hopefully there will be reruns to watch until January.
I really liked it too. I had to watch it twice because the first time all the family was around and I missed most of it because we were talking and whatnot. Booth and Bones' relationship is progressing a lot this season and I love it. I really loved the whole conversation between Max and Booth when Max asked if Booth was sleeping with Bones. A lot of people ask them if they are dating/married/sleeping together, but I don't think anyone has ever said to Booth anything like "You're a good man. I want that for my daughter." That really made him think, I think. Max basically just gave Booth his blessing, pretty much said, "I think you should be with my daughter."
