Uggg! I don't know what's harder, the weekends or Monday morning. Why is it so hard to get motivated? I know, because of the weekend!! Oh well, anyways, I will be exercising today just not sure if I want to stay at home or go to the gym. I have about 3 more weeks at the gym so maybe I should take advantage of it. Stay on track this week everyone, we can do it. Let's get our minds in the righ mindset thinking we can get this weight off, or exercise a little more, or whatever it is you struggling with. Have a good one!

Oh okay Barb, I guess I really DIDN'T understand the ZZ method. I'll have to check into it when I have more time. Another busy week coming up so ....

That smoothy sounds delicious. I bet it will tide you over. I hope it does!

BTW, I did very well today. Was on the lower end of my calorie range and I got a good workout in.

2B-ZZ has got to be the easiest thing out there. Not to keep going on about it, but it freed me to finally eat normal foods again, (meaning, staying off of diet restrictive things), just I needed to stay within my calorie range. The site even tells you your range depending on how much or how little you exercise. Anyways, enough about that...

I wanted to share the number of calories the smoothie I just made because it's as if I've eaten a huge meal, I couldn't believe it!! It has like 621 calories, now I probably could have gotten 2 serv. out of it, but I don't really let them sit like that. It was very good, they always are, but I'm just shocked at by the time you add in your protein powder and flaxseed and this time I added blueberries in addition to the other fruit that's what my total came up to be. I just hope it tides me over till morning?!? Just a little shocked at that.

Niamhcas, ok I read your reply, and ya I understand, wow! Ok u can't change any of stuff going on, so just do little things for yourself to help with the stress, sometimes I'll buy myself some flowers, cause that's my way of telling myself I'm worth it, that it will get better. I just don't know what else to say! But I do hope u have better days ahead!! emoticon

Barb, I absolutely counted calories! Well I started sort of tracking it on my own and then came across another website to track on in March. Found this place in July and have been using it since. It just seems to me that you have to do so much planning with the ZigZag method. Maybe I just don't know that much about it.

*****Well if u don't care and u do gain some weight no beating yourself up! And why don't u care? what's up?*****

LINDA i think i'm just too tired, too much on at the mo, work is hard, applying for new jobs, started a Masters in Criminology, recently married, work to do on the house, commuting is a drag, running 3 days a week (this is the only health related thing i'm doing consistenly at the mo), lots of have-to-go-to social events this month and so on......
my motivation levels are dropping even though i'm seeing the bodytype i want more on other people i'm just not trying,
hopefuly tomorrow will be a new day and i'll be back onto my healthy lifestyle! :)

I agree about the stressing part, like so many other things, sometimes when you just stop thinking about it, it happens. You have done great and just staying on track and working at it when you can, like you said Fall and Winter and you'll be ready for Summer! Great plan.

I'm just curious what you did to lose your weight, no calorie counting or anything? That was just a light bulb moment for me when I started counting calories. You've got great dedication, just stay strong!!

No Barb, I haven't tried it. It seems so complicated and restrictive to me. I'm glad it is working for you though!

I think I'm just going to calm down and stop stressing so much over these last few pounds. I'm really at my goal weight. I just need to tone up more and I'm doing that. I think it's just going to be a little slower than I would like. But hey, I can work on it all fall and winter and I should look fab by spring/summer!!! At least I hope I will. emoticon

2B~Just try hard not to undo what you've worked so hard at. I don't like that it takes weeks to lose sometimes even a pound and then 2 days to put ON a pound, it's just not fair!! Oh well. Have you ever tried Zig-Zagging your calories? There's a Holiday 7-wk. challenge starting on the Calorie Cycling team, if you're interested. It sounds like you can make it as detailed or as simple as you want. Keep working towards your goal, you'll get there.

Oh wow have I ever been going through this!!! emoticon It has been at least a couple of weeks, maybe 3. My problem is that I am the size that I want to be, my clothes fit and I get lots of compliments. (Typing this I'm realizing my problem.) To everyone else I look great. I am (and my husband) the only one that knows I need to keep at it to get my midsection where I want it to be. It's just so hard. I'm weary of the whole dieting thing. Been at this since Dec. 06.

Another thing is that I reached my original goal weight of 115 and went on maintenance for about a month. Then I changed my goal to 110. And now it is practically impossible for me to go back down to that low calorie range. I did good for a week and lost almost a lb. But lately ..... all I want to do is eat. emoticon

Hey for me it's comfert coffee!!LOL! My eating habits are about the same, if I get hungery for something I eat it just like before[still can't kick the junk food!] But now I drink more coffee, if we go out to eat[1 or 2 times aweek from well 7!!] I get coffee to "warm" me up. The frist thing I do when I get home is make a cup, with my job I'm more or less outside for most of my shift. So I'm not drinking as much water as I did this summer.

I've been dealing with the same thing. Do you think it's the weather changing?? It's getting to be "comfort food" weather here.

We went hiking last weekend so I assumed I could eat whatever I wanted. Gained two pounds that weekend. So much for that hike! ;)

Hi all
I am feeling a lazy streak coming upon me. This is a good thing because I am feeling to lazy to over eat. I am tired of eating to much food. It takes to much energy to overeat. I feel a ton better if I eat right.
I wanted to check out your C to 5K and I can't find it. Is it a team or on the measage board?

Hi Barb, you can do it. One day at a time, focus on your zz'g calorie guide. I was slacking off a couple weeks back, eating more than my calorie guide. I think mentally, I was burning out from constantly watching what I ate; sort of rewarding myself for losing the weights, people commenting my weight loss plus fitting into smaller sizes...all that didn't help. It was almost testing and pushing how bad I can eat b4 the weights come back. 2 pounds came back and I think that did it. I put that all behind me and I'm starting this week more determine than ever.

We can do it!

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. I was lucky I only gained 2lbs. I really thought I had gained more. It took me a week to get back on track with eating right and working out.

I think gaining the weight that we tried so hard to lose is for good for us. It showed me what will happen if I go back to living my life the way I was before I started SP.

I can relate. So all my life I heard- oh your so cute it only you would lose some weight. It is what I am use to. When I heard the other day- your a smaller person. I was socked. I said can you say that again? She was giving me instructions on how to do something so she asked "the whole thing?" I said no, just the part about that I am a small person. She laughed and said but you are. It cracked me up. I think she used the word tiny. It is funny how we are the last to admit something about ourselfs. This goes both ways. Before I didn't eat to much I was just big bone. Now I am just use to being on a "diet and having a diet goal" I can't handle the fact that I am or could soon be looked at as not belonging to the group that needs to lose weight.
It's like getting kicked off the fat fighting island. Kicked off, sent home,... call it what you like I would be losing my group to conect to. The easest solution is to put some pounds back on then I am back on the island.
I don't want to get kicked off but be promoted to a leader. The quiet kind that is here if you need me. So in 15 more pounds. OK I got it. I can move to the tone island or the kill the muffin top island.
Lynn

Oh my, yes I sure do! I can be going so well, and losing weight every week, and as soon as someone comments on how good I'm looking, that's when I want to start stuffing my face! It just seems so stupid - I don't know why I do this to myself every time. :(

I had to do a weigh in and put my tracker to where it really is and not to where I will be back to real soon. Right now I can't stand the thought of eating icecream so it has to be a good time to get back on the wagon. I could eat icecream 24-7 so this is a big thing.
I wounder if sparks has a thread for-
The big pig habits I am willing to give up- Icecream by the half 1.75 qt. Thanks to the food packers I now eat .875 qt of icecream at a crack instead of 1 qt.

Frist let me say I'm sorry for your loss. I too have the "weekend" problem, so I changed my weigh-in day to Monday[it used to be Sat but then I'd really go over broad!!]that way I'm watching what I eat. This week for my weigh-in I lost a pound!

I know, that's kind of what I was thinking with my gain, that I traveled a lot, regularity, etc., but it's still on and it's been 2 days. One thing that I have decided is I'm going to try to weigh myself once a week also, mine will be on Monday's because I do the Zig-Zag Dieting, but I can't even get on schedule with that. Somethings gotta shake me back to reality!!

I haven't weighed in again because i always hope i'll 'undo' the damage by friday (my offical weigh in day). I think i need some accountability. Gotta make the right choices. Will go read my blog now where i put on weight before and was sooo mad maybe that will help pull me out of this downward spiral!

OMG!! That is exactly what I am doing right now. I went back to Ohio for a few days (my Grandmother passed away) and I ate like crazy there and when I weighed myself when I got back I gained 4 pounds. I couldn't believe it, I'm still in shock...and the thing is I'm still eating like crazy, I can't stop. I did exercise really good today, but it's almost as if I've lost my motivation, and it has nothing to do with what's just happened or anything. It's like I got a taste of the "bad life" and I'm getting sucked right back in. What can we do to stop??? Let's STOP! I'm sure you've worked just as hard as I have to get to where you are, I was down to 118 before leaving for home and I was holding pretty steady and now I hate that I'm back in the 120's. I get mad just talking about it!!!

Why do I do it? I have a good weigh in on friday, loss of 1.5 lbs and i spent all weekend stuffing my face. Then Monday comes and i say its a new week, but still haven't been eating as well as i should. Feeling very lazy about it. Always do when I get a taste for 'bad' foods. Why do we sabotage ourselves? Anyone else have this problem?
