So far today I've trimmed my outdoor plants, cleaned them up real nice. Swept up a bunch of leaves and all my cuttings. Had a good breakfast and coffee. Now need to go shopping.

The treadmill decided it was time for me to start jogging. I accidently set it on a program that skipped from 3 mph to 4 mph and the cooled back down with 2.5.

My best accomplishment yet. I woke this morning to a snowstorm so no walking outside for me today. However, snow stopped and it warmed up this afternoon so made the decision to walk managed to get in 3.5 miles. Feel great that I talked myself into a walk, instead of reading this afternoon.

Today I began a January challenge with one of my Spark teams. The goal is to torch as many calories as you can per day/week and ultimately the month. I actually logged 65 fitness minutes. Totally doable on a weekend, but on a workday??? Who woulda thunk it?!

Right after starting this post I somehow pulled a muscle in my back:( So many days have passed without being able to do much besides lay flat. I've never had a back problem before and ended up at the chiropractor. I've started therapy and hopefully I'll be able to put on my own socks soon! In the meantime... I need to make good decisions that don't include exercise. So I started today by tracking my food and visiting spark teams that I hadn't been to in a while. Today - positive attitude and attention to diet.

Did fairly well (overall) yesterday, but attended two Christmas parties, so I certainly ate more than usual, gaining .8 when I weighed-in this morning. Today, I got right back on track, something that hasn't always been (and still isn't always) easy for me! In the past, I've had the attitude, "Hey, what's another day of eating badly?"

Staying on track, walking my 3 or 4 miles. Makes me feel my life is in balance, sometimes I don't loose the weight I want but it gives me a since of knowing I am doing something good for me. So everyday is an adventure and I look forward to everyone.

Intervals on the treadmill (fast paced walk and jog) 2.5 miles and a Body Pump class.
Packed a healthy snack to eat after my workout so I wouldn't be ravenous by the time I got home. Healthy lunch and dinner.
