I was so excited to find that New York & Company has workout pants in short/regular/long legnth choices! Not many places do this. The only other one I've found so far is Lands End, which is now sold in Sears stores...I have yet to actually try them out though since I found NY & Co. first and bought 4 pairs!

Haha, I know. I see plenty of other short women and so I'm not sure why there aren't clothes marketed towards us! About the crotch/inseam though...I don't have that problem maybe because I have a very large backside?? wah! emoticon

I know what you mean, Kim. No matter how petite I pick them out, they are still too long on me, especially in the crotch and then I have to worry about my legs rubbing together above the crotch since it hangs low on me. Then I get that irritation from them rubbing together because I can't find any shorter. Do these clothing people think that short people don't have to work out or buy work out clothes?

Hi, I'm wearing some workout pants right now that I bought at walmart, the Danskin brand that was mentioned already. I'm a quarter of an inch under 5 feet tall. I bought the petite ones, but still had to cut off a few inches to make them fit. If you do that, just don't forget that they will shrink shorter after you wash and dry them a few times. I left about an inch too long and then they shrunk up to just the right size. :o) I do wish there was a line of "ultra-petite" clothing...lemme know if you run across any! emoticon

I pretty much buy inexpensive capris and sweats and trim them with pinking shears if necessary. What I often have a problem with is the rise. Sometimes to get the crotch to fit at the crotch as opposed to the knees I have to pull my sweatpants so far up the waist sits just below my boobs emoticon Fortunately it seems to be trendy nowadays to roll over the waist a couple of times but then that leaves you with a big roll around the waist emoticon If it ain't one thing it's another emoticon

Has anyone considered going to Lululemon? They have great workout gear that does not chafe or give wedgies, and they do complimentary hemming, even on sale items!

It is pretty bad when we are down to considering
making our own pants. I checked out Lucy.com and
you are so right...expensive!..What would we do with
all those pants when we get skinny?lol...Even if
you want to spend a fortune...who wants to throw out
a fortune. Where do all the LITTLE PEOPLE get their
clothes..and I talking small or shorter than we are?

I bought some stretchy black bootcut trousers. The size label says Age 12-13 yrs and they fit just great and are so comfy. I bought them for just 3 in a supermarket. emoticon

A lot of work out pants come in cute capris anymore, I have two or three pairs and they fit great. A little longer than capris on me, but they are cute and no pants get in the way of my shoes when I'm trying to work out! :-P I look a lot less uncoordinated!

Yeah, I am down with making some pants to fit us little, yet beautiful women! I ended up looking online yesterday and found some at lucy.com, but they were soooo expensive.

I am still open to more ideas though! Keep them coming...

Also 4'11, everything is too long. As for sweats or workout pants, I have found that Walmart has some that work for my height and size but I wear and xl. If they are too big for you, maybe make sure they have elastic waists. How about checking out the men's boxers or boys pants/shorts. Elastic or tie waist and elastic bottoms to keep from tripping.

Personally I like a big tee and comfy shorts.

I cannot find sweats that fit. When you are 4'11''
they are all sooooooooooooo long. Even in the
teen department!...I can usually wear a large or x
large in sweats in the teen dept. now they are way
too long. Jockey for her was always my favorite.
Anyone out there interested in making pants for
small people?

aeropostale had great sweats last month! They fit buts, and are pretty short lengths. There jeans fit me to! Great prices.

As far as work out clothes go, I agree with target idea, they have champion, and pro spirit. I always buy capris, even though they are almost high waters instead on us shortys, I can usually find a pair that look and feel good.

I'm wearing black stretchy capri pants and matching slim-fitting top, with white 'go faster' stripes down the sides. Friends who see me dressed like this are well impressed with my slim new appearance. emoticon

Look into Jockey for her. There are home representatives who sell at parties like Tupperwear. I can ask the woman I know where to go or you can try googling it to locate someone near you.

Target was a huge dissappointment. The smalls were literally falling off me and about a foot too long (no joke!!) and they didn't have any extra smalls. Do you know the brand you bought from TJ Maxx?
