Not losing is frustrating. I increased my calories because I was hovering at 1000 - 1200 a day. With the amount of activity I do, I found that my body was starving. I used the following web site to track the calories I burn on average... http://www.nutritiondata.com/tools/calorie s-burned

Scooter - I thought having low blood sugar would help us to lose weight and since I have been on very low carbs, mine is usually low (I check occasionally with a testing gadget because my mother and sister are diabetic). If it doesn't help with the weight loss, that's another good idea thrown down the pan. It would be interesting to test my blood sugar after eating yummy high carb treats but I don't want to to stop my fat-burning now.
Don''t give up, losing weight is like walking downhill and carrying a lighter load as you go. After a while, fill a carrier bag with the weight you have lost and feel good about yourself when you put it down. Eating healthy and drinking lots of water gives you beautiful skin and takes years off you.
I lost a lot in the first month and now things have slowed down. I need to get the exercising up. I am doing good about my food intake, but really am lacking in exercise. I want to lose my weight in a healthy way. I don't want to do a yo yo diet. So, I am not discouraged that there was no weight lose this week. I KNOW I need to get my exercise program in place and working for me. When that is done I will see more results.
I was thinking last night about how we batter ourselves if we "over eat" for one day. But, really isn't that eating normal. People who are thin don't get in a tizzy if they have "a piece" of cake. So, we just need to remember that if we have something special, that is just what it is. Something special. Then we need to go back to our healthy eating. Of course we cannot eat the whole cake. But, we do need to realize that having an occassional treat is not necessarily a bad thing.

O.k. ladies. Have you been drinking enough water? What is you ratio in the nutrition area? How many meals are you eating? Are you varying your intake up and down? Are you getting enough sleep? Have you changed up you excersise routine? You could check out the resource center for information to check and analize your program. How long have you been here. Changing some thing generally works. DD

I know I haven't been focusing on lose much lately. But now that I have the bad things behind me I can focus on myself and my diet. I went WAY Over yesterday and am agry at myself for how careless I was about calories. Today I will be much more observent.

Me neither, but I know it's because I'm not exactly sticking to 1200 calories. If I eat 1300 or more, no losing for me. I promised myself to begin tracking everything on the tracker here for at least 5 days. Hopefully it will become more of a habit. O should be losing 1/2 -1 pound a week.

I haven't either but It is caused by being on Insulin. I wasn't before and I could lose weight if I worked at it right now I'm not budging and have been having problems with having low blood sugars all of the time. I'm not giving up though. I need to lose the weight.
I started a month ago now and haven't lost anything! I'm maintaining very well though! I don't know if it's working the night shift and not being unable to get much exersize or if I've not cut back enough on my calories...But I'm feeling very upset about this today! Last year I lost 17lbs and I've been maintaining for the past 9 months, but I want to lose more. I just don't understand why I'm not..even all my measurements are the same as they were a month ago. Help! I need some support to stick with this!
