Don't feel guilty for thinking ahead and doing what its best for you. If you want to be less conspicuous, bring a fruit or veggie tray that can be shared with everyone. Either way, enjoy your healthy snacks and know you did what is best for you.

I get it, I do that myself also! I just received my order of girl scout cookies and my daughter wants to open them and I'm hesitant just because if I get started the box will be gone and I'll be wondering why

It's my controlling myself is the biggest problem. If I take carrot sticks I can munch while they do. I've done good this month (started over this month) and have only eaten my food, so hate to get derailed so soon. lol .....been known to happen.

They may give me a hard time in teasing, but I don't want to make them feel bad about themselves more than anything. I know losing weight is a struggle for everyone, but people look at smaller people (like me) and just believe we come by it naturally or it's just easier for us because they've never viewed me a overweight. Compared to them my size isn't so obvious. They are all 5'9" at the smallest and overweight. I'm 5'1.5..........so I'm always the tiny one. lol.

If you don't love yourself....how can you expect others to.

I would so not worry about that, I've learned (and my attitude) that I take my own or eat what is brought knowing it isn't the healthiest. So my family has learned that I won't eat a lot of what they make because they don't cook the healthiest but now the tide is "slowly" changing. The last "family gathering" I went to they actually had a veggie tray! Can't tell you how big of a change that one was! Go and have fun and if anyone is offended then hey maybe they'll think a little healthier and share that thought with everyone!

LOL! No, I can't say I ever have taken my own snacks to a visit. A simple, "no, thank you" usually does the trick.

I'm leaving for in-laws family dinner. They always have cheese/crackers/dip out before dinner. The crackers were new and the best I'd ever had with the dip last time. I ate A LOT !! Since then we've bought them and I can limit now....but the good old fashioned greasy fries will be there too. Not the baked that I do once in a while, the ones that I realized will have over 100 calories for 1 . Bummer. those will be the worst and may have 2 or 3, but glad I looked that up.

I told my husband I don't want to make anyone mad or weird (since I'm already the smallest of the group) by bringing my own snacks. He said who cares ! I feel better now! Next time I may take a tray myself of good stuff for everyone.

OK....I've got my apple and celery sticks in my purse now and much relieved that I can munch on those while everyone is chowing on the full fat everything. lol. Everything is already entered into my tracker and I was super good today so I can have my piece of pie tonight guilt free !!!

I've been known to bring in snacks to movies a lot.....ever hear those crunching sounds...yea , sorry, those were my carrots. lol .

If you don't love yourself....how can you expect others to.
