if you think it is hard at 50 try after 60 It is a mind set and you can get over it if yo want to it is slow and steady and I do mean steady. I am doing good on water and ok on cal. even doing more exercise each day. That seem to be the only thing I can do. I do feel better then I did when I joined and I know this is going to take a long if I wnat it to become a lifestyle change. Pat

Hi, i know what you mean, i had to get out today and get something sweet, a piece of chocolate cake i bought, not as good as i hoped, now i feel bad. boohhhhhhhhhoo, i get so lazy around 2 pm, i'm 54 years old, and its got harder to lose weight, and easier to gain in the last 5 years, i kept it off until i turned around 48, to 50. You have to work harder, and eat less, so get ready. haha. Youve done good looks like to me, i can gain 3 lbs in a week, yuk, omccoy

Hi there. I get weighed on Thursdays. Last Thursday I was 155, so I was down 10.5 pounds. However, the week before that, I was at 150.5 lbs (down 14.5). My 50th Birthday was on Jan 19 and my DH took me for a get-away weekend. I was off my plan all weekend and then on Monday when I was supposed to get back on track - I didn't. I was so mad at myself for gaining 4.5 lbs in one week! Oh well, hopefully it will be better this week. I find I can stay on my plan pretty good, but when I go totally off of it for a few days, it is soooo hard to get back on track. The plan I am on allows you to have one free day each week, where you can eat whatever you want. That is my saving grace - but you only get to do it 1 day :-) Not 3 or 4 like I did last week ! emoticon

Tight jeans hold the flab in and give you a nice trim outline (worn with a shirt or jumper covering the bulges!), even if your measurements are actually bigger than the dress size. It was such an ego boost to look at myself in the mirror and see a fairly shapely person looking back, instead of a fat old frump. Friends could really see the difference I had made to my appearance due to my weightloss and healthy eating. emoticon

Don''t give up, losing weight is like walking downhill and carrying a lighter load as you go. After a while, fill a carrier bag with the weight you have lost and feel good about yourself when you put it down.
Eating healthy and drinking lots of water gives you beautiful skin and takes years off you.

On the weigh-in pages, look for todays date. There is a backwards arrow on the left, enabling you to go back to any date you want. Go back to the website where you created your virtual model and look for a button that will let you save the before and after models to your computer. Then go to your SPARK page and edit it, loading the files from where you saved them on your computer. I use my 'slim' me as a motivator. emoticon

Hi everyone. I registered at Spark People in November but I haven't been here for awhile. I have been loosing weight on another program. But I like the site and on-line support here. I have a couple of questions. I have my weekly weigh-ins since November, and I would like to go back and enter the weights since November. Does anyone know if you can go back and back-date the weights ? All I could find is to register your weight for today. Also, I had noticed that a lot of people have that virtual model on their page. So this morning I went on to virtualmodel.com and created my model. But now I don't know how to put it on my spark page. Any help would be appreciated. From a 4'11" shortie.
