So far with 30 day shred I have lost 0.25 in. on my waist and .625 on the largest part of my hips!!!

I took the hip measurement 3 times just to be sure and I still cannot believe it, although yesterday I was able to put on (fully zipped and buttoned, but tight) size 28 jeans in forever21 so I should have known that something had changed.

thanks for your suggestions. I think I am going to put salad with tilapia on my menu for the upcoming week. this week I lost 1 lb so far adding the additional cardio in , so Im happy.

Hey there! I was looking at your trackers to see if anything "jumped out at me" cause I was in the same boat as you. I could barely dropped a half a pound in a week or two and I was putting in all this work. This might not work - but what I did was I removed some of the foods that had more sugar and carbs and replaced it with more vegetables and proteins. PS I hate salads and I'm forcing myself to eat one a day now instead of my yogurt or fruits. I make sure I put chicken or beans/edamame on them for the protein. It has taken a week or two to see any results this, but I dropped about 3 pounds in the last two weeks just by doing that. (I'm shocked honestly) and I also started eating about 100 calories more a day as well. Make sure you are eating enough calories for all the exercise you are doing too. Don't want your body to be storing everything and ruining all the good work you have done.

Good luck! love that you are doing Jillian, I need to start again. That dvd kicks my butt. Maybe I'll do that for next week's exercise to change it up a bit. I also like Slim in 6 for something different. Check it out if you are needing something new.

thanks guys. I did to measurements before and I will take them again on Sunday. I am going to try to just add more cardio in and keep doing the 30 day shred.

The 30-day shred is great but you do need to add some cardio to this. Good luck!

I would definitely add some more cardio in if you can. I'm not a perfect example, but because of my muscular body type I gained a couple of pounds and .75 in in my thighs/ waist using 30-day shred and that was with other cardio!

I think you should have done your measurements before you started, that way you have a comparison! Anyhow, I would stay with it. Whenever you start something new, some people will gain weight with initial water weight as your muscles are tearing and rebuilding. But then the weight stays the same or drops a little but the inches drop quickly.

You can do some other cardio inbetween if you want to.

You are about half way through shred so if I were you I would stick with that and at the end then start the 1 hr of cardio plus some weight training to maintain your muscle. Good for you for sticking with the program. You have lost weight and it shows.

I am currently doing the 30 day shred. I did 9 days of level 1 and I am on day 4 of level 2. I also walk 10 mins to school, 10 mins back home from school and I dance 15 mins. using my wii and just dance 3.

So far I have only lost .4 lbs. I have not checked my measurements because I am waiting until I am 15 days into the 30 day shred.


I want to build muscle via the 30 day shred and I am starting to see ab definition and my arms look more toned, but I am not losing as much weight as I would like to.

I know that doing 1 hr. of cardio 6 days a week will make me lose ~1.5 lbs/week but I planned to do that only after I finish the shred.

What do you guys think?

Should I stick with the 30 day shred just for completeness' sake? or

Should I start doing my 1 hr. of cardio 6 days/week and shelf the 30 day shred until I only want to do toning?
