I am pretty new here too! I have to figure out the tracker at the bottom. I like that. I have to lose about 60lbs and I am 5'2". Reading and seeing pictures of all those that have made it or are seriously on their way has been so inspiring!

Hi Ms Evie -

I'm new here too. Just completed my first week and dropped two pounds. I started by tracking my foods for the first week. It really made me make better choices and be more aware of what was going in my mouth. I'm only 5'2" so I can totally relate to feeling like a walking beach ball. Glad you are here. emoticon

It is great to find shorties like me! emoticon I am short, fat, and in the Navy; not a good combo here. But I am trying to improve centiemeter by centimeter, inches are just to big for me. emoticon

But seriously I am looking for new friends who I don't have to physically look up to; after awhile their armpit smell gets to be too much. LOL

I am tired of looking like a Virginia smoked ham, and I am not even from Virginia.

Take care,
Sara

Hey,

Welcome to SP. Just remember to start slowly and not throw yourself in too deep to start with and push yourself too far and burn out.

Welcome to Shortville! I agree that one of the first things you should do is start tracking your food and pay attention to nutrient intake like fat, sodium, fiber, calcium...all the important things people should be concerned about now to prevent problems later. You can set that all up on your MySpark page. Just click "change diet goals" and go through and add the nutrients. I've found that trying to meet my nutrient goals as well as my calorie goals have helped me to make better food choices. Also, start drinking more water. It really helps keep the metabolism jumping...and you for that matter! You'll be in the loo alot, but your body, particularly your skin will thank you. That's all I can offer right now (still waking up...), but if you ever have questions or want to chat, visit us in the 5 foot 3 and under Forum. See ya around!

Welcome! I am 4'11 and also look like a walking beach ball.... Or as I like to call it a potato on with toothpicks sticking out of it and an olive head! LOL I don't carry any weight in my legs and hardly any in my arms.... Downside is that I am higher risk for health problems.... AND I HAVE NO HIPS so it would be nice to carry at least a little there!

WELCOME!!!
