I think it depends. If improving your fitness is a substantial part of your weight loss strategy, I think you notice it very quickly. I notice that 2 or 3 lbs really makes a difference when I'm strength training and running because it tends to come from my stomach first. But if I'm walking or doing some other moderate cardio only, it takes more weight loss before I notice because it seems to be an little bit here, a little but there, and it's hard to notice. So, I think, in the end, it depends on how much of what you're losing is muscle, how much is water, and how much is fat.

Hi everyone! I am just starting to work out / eat healthy. I am 4'10 and about 15 lbs from my ideal weight, and I am just curious if anyone knows how long it normally takes to start noticing a difference in your body. I remember when I lost weight a few years back it just seemed to hit me over night. I just can't remember how long it too for it to happen!
