I believe it's mental. When YOU notice it is coming off is the key.

Everyone's different. emoticon

I think it depends. If improving your fitness is a substantial part of your weight loss strategy, I think you notice it very quickly. I notice that 2 or 3 lbs really makes a difference when I'm strength training and running because it tends to come from my stomach first. But if I'm walking or doing some other moderate cardio only, it takes more weight loss before I notice because it seems to be an little bit here, a little but there, and it's hard to notice. So, I think, in the end, it depends on how much of what you're losing is muscle, how much is water, and how much is fat.

I have heard that you notice a change after you lose 15% of your starting body weight. If you start at 130 at 117 you would notice a difference. Hope this helps

Hi and welcome. In my experience it takes 50000 times longer for me to notice it come off as compared to when it comes on emoticon

Smile .... it makes people wonder what you're up to ;-)

The fourth glass of wine is always a good idea before you do it and a really bad idea afterward! ;-)

It is far easier to MAKE time to exercise than it is to FIND time to exercise. You want results???? MAKE it happen.

Hi everyone! I am just starting to work out / eat healthy. I am 4'10 and about 15 lbs from my ideal weight, and I am just curious if anyone knows how long it normally takes to start noticing a difference in your body. I remember when I lost weight a few years back it just seemed to hit me over night. I just can't remember how long it too for it to happen!
