I'm not quite 4'10" and 53 yrs old. I eat all day and struggle to get to 1200!!! I really would like to lose 5 more lbs. but I'm ok where I am. SP doesn't want anyone to go below 1200, regardless of height/weight because the other nutrients are hard to get below that!
For me, 5'0" and 52 years old, calorie requirements for maintenance have had to become more stringent. What's different? Menopause! It really changes things... I used to be able to eat 1500 calories daily and along with exercise, had no problem maintaining. Now, it's 1200 calories and more exercise unless I'm willing to accept a higher weight, which I'm not... I'm just too stubborn!

I'm about the same height and weight as you. My maintenance end is 1800 so I'm trying to stay between 1300-1500 when I'm not working out. I add a few more cals on the days I work out. I aim to have a negative 3500 cal balance for the week for one pound of loss. Granted I'm closer to 1/2 a pound loss a week just because it is starting to come off slower and slower.
I try to do calorie cycling. Stay low, then have a high day if needed. My low end should be 1390, but as you can see for last week, that's not that easy for me to hit. I got so used to eating at 1240 when I first got on SP.

I am running 3 days a week and do Curves 2-3 days a week and the 200 crunches challenge. burning about 1300-1500 calories a week. I am at goal, hovering a pound or two. I am working on toning my abs right now... then need to get started on my butt!
I'm 4'11", and I'm supposed to consume 1200 calories, which is very difficult for me. I have stopped counting calories. I would say 1500 cals. should be enough for me. I try to eat more fruits and vegetables and whole grains.

I too work out at least six days a week for at least an hour most weeks seven. I've already lost 20 pounds but really would like to drop ten more and tone up. Like I said I TRY to keep it under 1500 and the weekday's aren't so bad. The weekends I find a little harder.
Hi, A lot of that depends on how active you are. I work out six days a week for an hour each day and try and stay to 1500 calories and am also trying to lose that last 10 pounds. It has been hard and my muscle mass is increasing but I am working on it.

I'm about five foot two and right now weigh about 135. I would like to lose about ten more pounds. I would like to know what everyone's calorie intake per day is. I try to stay under 1500 but of course that is not always possible.
I'm curious as to what others are taking in to lose or maintain.
