I just wanted to say thank you one more time for the encouragement when I really needed it. It paid off!! Not that I had a huge loss, but I did lose .5 pounds. I will take it with a smile. I also re-measured and have lost there as well. So happy I have you all for support, it definitely makes a difference.

Wow~ you are all so awesome!! Thank you for the words of advice and the cheering section. I really feel like somebody when I log in to this site. I got out there tonight and jogged/walked this evening. Tomorrow morning I have a raquetball court reserved. I have not played since college and I am really looking forward to something different. Have a fantastic evening and I will let you know how I weigh in tomorrow at the end of my second week. Praying all of you have great success this week, you all deserve it.

Don't be too hard on yourself. We all go through the same experience. If you fail one day, go back the following day and start anew. Sometimes I don't post it when I lose 1/2 lb., because I know there is the possibility that I'll gain it back. And I do gain it back, and more! Just keep trying until you develop the new lifestyle.

Craving carbs? Have them! Unlike a "diet" a healthy lifestyle lets you enjoy all things - IN MODERATION. So, good job on measuring out your portions and ENJOY! This is how you want to live for the rest of your life... Make it a habit!
It's normal to feel that way at the end of the second week. Fox News this morning was even talking about it - that it gets harder starting the end of the second week. Keep plugging away. Each day you do something is another day accomplished. Good luck.
God grant me the serenity to change the things I can, to accept the things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Thank you, to all of you, for the encouragement!! You are all awesome! I am sitting here eating my yogurt, strawberries and pretzels all carefully measured out while reading all of your comments. I am so thankful that I found this website. Last night I was craving carbs so bad that I wanted to just throw this out the window. I am thankful I just went to bed. (especially waking up to these comments and remembering I am not in this alone~) Hope you are all having an awesome day!

Remember that it takes 21 days/times to make a habit perminant! Don't be hard on yourself! Changes aren't easy. This isn't just a diet, its a lifestyle change so that makes it even harder.
I know that at the beginning it is easy to have motivation and want to change EVERYTHING, but it is very important to start slow and make small changes.

Take baby steps and you'll go farther building up. It's hard to change your lifestyle completely all at once. So build it up, try 3 times a week then increase from there.

Cut yourself a little slack. Especially if you're just starting out. A lifestyle change is not an easy transition. If you stick with it 85% of the time the other 15% won't matter. You can do this!

Every week is progress, even when the results are not as expected, because you learn a little more each day and you change a little more as well. Stick with it and resolve to make each new day a fresh start towards achieving your goals. You can do it!
Just remember that a new lifestyle is not w/o a few bumps on the way. I am also starting a new in the past couple of weeks & I have a few successes & a few failures, but I know that I will win the war!

Well I have two more days in week two and I really don't think it will be a good week this week. Kind of fell off the every day exercise routine which I was doing really good with the first week. I have to get my "SPARK" back.....
