Hi, I'm 5'2". I've been working out for about 2 years not, but the needle on the scale does not budge much. Three weeks with Spark People and I'm down 7 pounds.

I usually workout 5 days a week, three cardio and three weight training classes. I've also added 15-20 minutes of cardio to two of my weight training days. That comes out to ~2700 calories a week.

emoticon PEPSIPRINCESS22 try adding some weight training, you do it at a lower heart so more of the calories you burn come from fat than you burn doing cardio.

Heck yes it adds up! I burned 400 cals today. I feel like I didn't do anything.

I've heard a lot of people say they watch tv shows and drink their water and when commercials come on they do crunches and when the next commercial comes on they do lunges, etc.

Good job on getting those exercises in. I find it hard to fit things into my schedule so doing a little bit here and there eventually ads up!

Oh. Thanks for the info! What I do is small Exercizes 5minutes here and there 15 minute then 2 minutes then I watch a Tv show and drink a bottle of water

That 3500 calories burned in a week includes your BMR, so its not like you need to burn that much with just exercise. For example I did the calculation and I estimated that my body burns 1900 calories a day, just by living and doing my daily stuff, not counting exercise. So if I were to eat 1300 calories a day, I still end up burning 600 more than I consumed and that would count toward the 3500/week.

Yeah, I'll be your buddy! If you mean that you need to burn 3000+ calories thru just exercise you might want to relook at the amount of calories spark people recommends you burn in a week. That's a lot of calories sweetie and I might think you'd be overdoing it some if you tried to lose 3000+ just through exercise in a week.

How did you do yesterday? I drank 9 glasses of water, and stayed under my calorie limit for the day. However, I was bad and skipped working out yesterday for the first time this week. It was so hectic and I was just so darn worn out. But I'll get back on today and burn at least 130 calories thru exercise today. I've lost 3 pounds this week despite the fact that Aunt Flo is here!!!! YES!! Probably just the water, but hey, I'll take it!

Hi Stacey! Just a quick question, have you burned the calories from exercise only, or are you including calories burned by your body just by living (basal metabolic rate, BMR)? You may be doing even better than you thought if you put that into the calculation.
