Thank you all for the suggestions. I really do need to eat more nuts. What really hit home was when I figured out that I was carring 5 (12 can) cases of DP on my body. I went the extreem route and quit cold turkey. Having just one DP a day leads me down a bad road. Once I have this monster under control I might be able to have on every once in a while. I am on Day 4 without a DP and I'm hanging in there. Thanks Everyone!!!!

Try getting those litt itty bitt cans - they cost more but then you are doing half a day. I did the gradual weening and it seems to have worked, I'll have a random soda here and there, but I went from 2 bottles a day to one - I would just drink half in the am and then saved the rest for later. I think also that the flatter the stuff got the less I wanted to drink it, so I would sometimes do it on purpose to not want to drink it lol.

Try a gradual weaning... Any time we cut something off abruptly, it backfires because we seem to crave it more. Believe me, it's possible to remove or reduce the sugar in our diets... one step at a time...

Maybe keeping in mind that drinking soda either regular or diet increases your craving for sugar and sweets not to mention they deplete your body/bones of calcium. That intense craving for something sweet in the afternoon-evening might be due to earlier soda drinking.

have you tried the diet. i know some people don't like the taste, but personally for me i prefer diet to regular. i'm a bit weird as it think the regular is too sweet. good luck.

Hi Everyone! I am a Dr. Pepper addict. This is such a hindrance to my weight loss. I will go a day or so without the DP but I always seem to fall off the wagon. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Thx
