In the summer, I like the boys section at Kohl's for sweatpants and shorts, and their junior's section for tank-tops (small really does mean small).

For winter, I like the underarmour website. It's really pricey, but nothing is cut very long, and they carry size XS. Besides, it's almost Christmas, so I can drop hints :)

My usual solution to well-fitting clothes is my serger sewing machine. It takes about 5 seconds to alter knit fabrics, and I love it. Definitely worth the investment.

I just checked out the Athleta site and they have some nice clothes but I agree that they are on the pricey side. I will be sure to let the ones close to me know that I would like things from their site as a gift this year for Christmas...lol

I think Eastern Mountain Sports has shorter versions online, and I love a company called Athleta (athleta.com). They can be a bit pricey, but they have LOTS of petite pant sizes, and the pieces are of amazing quality. The few that I've bought I just love and have lasted me a long time.

I'm only 5'3" myself. I've gotten lucky with some of the workout pants I've bought in the past, but I have had experiences where sometimes they're too long. I like FREECLOUD's idea of buying a cheap pair at Walmart (which work perfectly fine and are comfy) and "butchering them" lol. Most places have petite pants for shorter people, too. Capris are also a good idea. I love the selection--and trendiness!-- of workout wear in the Otomix catalog. Very cute stuff but, unfortunately, on the pricey side.

I always get workout pants that are capri length and usually they just look a little cropped on me, which I think is good because then I ma really not tripping over them.

I second BCARSON11....the last time I shopped for windpants, I got SO frustrated with the women's section....so my brother suggested the girls or boys department. I ended up with a pair from the boys dept. There was more selection and they seemed fuller than the girls. Altho I'm 5'0" w'boots on I still have a bootie, hips, and thighs so sometimes have trouble with the width when shopping in the kids dept, but the length was just right!
Juniors stuff is always way too long-they think juniors are all long leggy critters, methinks...

I'm not sure if this will work for you, but I buy my pants in the girls dept. (not juniors--they are too long).

I love the Hanes website for exercise clothes. Being a 'shortie' and a 'roundie' I find if I buy something that is listed as capri it fits me ok in length.

I am also 5'2" and I can understand the issue. I really like the Nike Dryfit. They are a little long but they never make it past my shoes, I never trip on them, and I LOVE the way they feel. I am a big nike fan though. I think most of there outfits are sporty and you can find an outfit that makes your body type look good. Plus they have 3/4 pants if that is the way that you want to go (those are usually too long to be anything but highwaters for me though). You can check out all of there women's gear online...

I buy the cotton workout pants and cut the bottoms off. I get them at Walmart/Target - don't spend a lot on them because I'm going to butcher them :)

OOPS! I just looked at how much you weigh and these certainly will not work for you. It might be a help to those of us who need plus sizes though. Good luck.

I have found one particular style that I like from Just My Size. I am 4'11" and they work for me.

New York & Co. carries workout pants in short sizes (I bought 3-4 pairs there last year), Lands End also has some (the Lands End line is sold in some Sears stores in addition to online/catalog). If its not too cold, sometimes I go with capri workout pants, which are pretty popular/prevalent these days.

I'm quite a budget person, so I just buy my workout shorts in the market. Or, any shorts that I can use. That's what I wear to the gym.

I tried on a bunch of Champion pants today and loved them but they were too long! I'm 5'2". Where do you ladies buy your exercise pants?
