I couldn't find any description of why people want to end fluoridation in mainstream or peer-reviewed scientific sources, but of course the reason there is a fight against it is because it's not the mainstream view. For the record, organohalides like teflon and organic fluoride compounds are pretty nasty compounds and that's why I prefer well-seasoned cast iron skillets to teflon-coated non-stick cookware which invariably chips off and gets ingested. So make up your own mind. I for one come from a family with soft enamel, so my teeth need all the help I can give them.
