Suds don't actually do anything in soap, they just put them there because it makes us think they do! But I agree, it does take getting used to.

Béa at www.zerowastehome.com has all kinds of uses for castile soap... even toothpaste!

Castile soap is a wonderful multi-tasker. I warn you that it can be a little harsh to the skin if used repeatedly over a longer period as it can dry it out. If you're looking to do some traveling/ camping it is a great 'one and done' cleaner. There are many different manufacturers out there, so who and what you buy is up to you. Dr. Bronner's is likely to be the easiest to find since Target carries it, but all you have to do is look for them.

Hope this helps.

hmm never used it for dishes. I water it down and use it as hand soap and bath soap. I was thinking of using it for shampoo but don't think it will leave my hair feeling great. I would also need one that is clear since I have a lot of silver and it gets discolored with colored shampoos. Would be curious to see what other people say.

I use castile soap for any number of uses. Most often it can be found as the base for my homemade laundry soap and homemade dishwasher detergent (recipes easily found online). When I camp/ travel I just take a small bottle of Dr. Bronner's. I use it to clean dishes, wash clothes, and as a body wash. It is the ultimate multitasker in various proportions. I love using it.

Has anyone used Castile soap? I just bought my first bottle and washed my dishes with it this morning. I think it will take some getting used to. No suds! Would like others opinions and how you use it. All in all I think it will be great!
