I started two pineapple plants. I had about 4 at one time, however, the cold we had here in FL killed them of. Now I'm starting over. I have also purchased my first bottle of Castile soap.

I did send out messages about Earth Day celebrations here, and BioBlitz the next weekend, so I'm trying to spread the word. . . . emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

My local Sierra Club is co-sponsoring a Community Forum about recycling. As we have no municipal trash collection (we have to purchase it) I've been trying to drive my recycling to a local center, but I don't get it done often enough, and it's building up. I'm looking into adding it to my trash collection; it will cost me $7 per month, but it's probably worth it.

Hmmm I hadn't really thought about it, but I think it's a great idea.

What to do?? Well, I have convinced my daughter's fiance to recycle, but now I need to convice him to not recycle food contaminated cardboard . . . .

Accepted a lawn care guy's offer to dump his clippings for other people's lawns into my compost piles. . . . .

My husband bought a bike and has been using it! . . . . . . . .

I think I need to get on the ball and come up with my Own goal!

Instead of driving for local errands I have been using my 10 speed bike. And of course I still have over 70 trees growing in containers that will need re-planting soon.

It's half-way through the month, but I didn't see this topic already posted!

Are you challenging yourself with any goals specific for Earth Month or are you trying to adopt any new environment-friendly practices?
