Everyone probably knows about this;but, going to the WWF (world wildlife federations) action site, I found that they list current actions in politics that could have large negative or positive impacts on the environment.
The great thing is that they create a very well written letter for or against this action and you can choose to have one emailed in your name to your local congressmen.
EZ! Two subjects. I chose to participate in was to support a proposal to make new cars in America have 50 MPG requirements in the very near future. ( small step but hopefully an incentive towards alternative /renewable/less fuel Consumption). The other was request that the proposed oil drilling in Bristol bay Alaska be blocked( this bay produces 40% of America's wild caught seafood). These are just 2 examples of worthy eco legislation that WWF is monitoring for us and that we can take a few minutes to take action on.
I plan to go to this site once a month now and take my 10 minute " political action".
Something easy and important I can do for the environment! !
