Yesterday I got some Marzetti Salad Dressing on sale for $2.99 and they also took my 40 cent coupon so that helped.

Fairly close to us we have Price Chopper, and you get $.10 off a gallon of gas for every $100 you spend, up to 20 gallons. They also have special savings, like buy $25 on Kraft products, and get $.10 or $.20 cents extra off gas. We just saved $.30 cents per gallon.

The only problem is that it's expensive to shop there, except for the sale items. They do double, up to $.99, but sometimes still more expensive than Walmart or Market Basket.

I have always couponed too !!

We have a couple of grocery stores that give gas discounts when you buy groceries. The one closest to us has buy an item and get cents off. One example this week is Sargento cheese slices, get 6 cents of per gallon up to 15 gallons.
Problem is that last week I spent my coupons at Walmart for the cheese last week.
They also have Wesson Canola Oil for 11 cents off a gallon so I will probably get that item.
i am a big coupon used and always have been.

I usually save about 10-12% of my grocery bill - depending on what's on sale.

This week I saved only 43% on our grocery bill. I'm proud of myself for not having used the suggested coupons fraudulently though suggested on one of the mommy bloggers site. Coupon fraud just infuriates me!

Last week I saved 51% off my family grocery bill. It's my best savings yet since I started tracking more closely in July. That is when my DH got laid off. As you can imagine, it all adds up and really helps our tight budget.

Spark on...

I'm just getting started couponing. I've used coupons occasionally, but never really got serious about until recently. I've set up my binder and started with Sunday inserts. Got some off eBay. Have to really pay attention there. Today I went shopping and between the in-store sales and my coupons, I saved 21%. I was pleased with myself. Hope to work up to 40-50% off.

I've gotten my grocery bill down from $800-$900/month to $$200-$300...so yeah, it can be done!! I will agree with the previous comment that the show is not the reality, especially for people like me in FL where they don't double coupons. But I promise...it can be done!! I've never had a day when I leave the store with thousands of dollars worth of product for $3 (that IS just posturing for the show), but I routinely save big bucks. I generally only spend $40 on a $100 tab at Publix (NEVER more than $50), and lots of times do even better than that! I often get crazy "free" deals at CVS for my HBA stuff too!!

You can TOTALLY do it...it just takes patience and a little work and a LOT of organization!!

I save enough that we can comfortably live within our means. I usually make a small store run daily. I live in the Garden State so running out to the farm to pick fresh fruits and veggies is a must. While I'm out I'll swing by a store and use a few coupons.

Yesterday I stopped by CVS and picked up 2 bottles of Dawn dish detergent and a 24-bottle case of water. I only paid 37 cents.

Doing this each day is worth it to me and fits into my family's lifestyle.

I like to get a good deal but, the coupon extreme shopping is beyond me. I try to clip them and occasionally get $10 or so dollars off. I tend to overspend on things that aren't on my list. I've got to quit that since we are now down to one income again.
I do like the Entertainment book and my AAA card it helps to give a free meal and a few bucks off of admission to activities.

Yeah I know that show can't be real, I have notice that each person buys the same things. paper towels, sport drinks, candy, and etc. So you tell me that different people, buys almost the same things. I know that the show is not all real. But I will keep on saving, the right way. Thanks for the post.

Extreme couponing isn't at all what it looks like. If you read coupon blogs, people have analyzed episodes of the show and some have used coupons for items they were not supposed to. Many stores were breaking their own double coupon policies in letting them double that many, etc. Some were even using counterfeit coupons, it appears. So no, it is not like it shows on extreme couponing. Yes, you can save money. But it is weird to talk about saving as much as your mortgage. I have seen people talk about it, but are they really comparing apples and oranges here? IE I see savings of 30% to 40% on my normal grocery runs according to my receipt. But that is showing me sales and coupons. I would say I only save about 10% normally, as that is what I consider savings above what I would normally pay for something. That is not going to save me a ton. But I do enjoy couponing. It is fun to get something free or almost free and donate it to the local food pantry, or give it to a friend. I feel like I am enjoying shopping and able to help others and not spending too much. (Yes, I track my spending to make sure the adrenaline rush doesn't overtake my common sense.)

No, never saved that much. I still don't know how they do it. I have gotten items free or almost free by using coupons. I think we only have one store in this area that offers double coupons, but expensive unless item is on sale.
I am retired, and have clipped and saved where I could, over the years. Every little bit helps. I don't think extreme couponing is as easy as they make it look, there are lots of factors that need to be involved.

I was just wondering if anyone using coupons have saved enough that they have paid something off or your savings has grown since using coupons. On the show Extreme Couponing that they have saved enough to stay at home or they saved enough to get out of debt. I just wornding if this is possible?
