Easier said then done. But at my store, if the cashier won't run the coupon, etc., then finish the transaction and march up to the customer service desk and yes, you almost always have to wait in line. They will fix it and refund your money.

12/1/13 Secret City Half Marathon around 3 hours and 4 minutes
4/19/14 Butterflies for Hope 5K for Lupus 39:23.8 (I hurt my back a few days before, and though it was my first official 5K with some jogging, my back hurt, so was very slow.)

None of you should ever be ashamed of using coupons, or asking for assistance in a store, even with long lines. The store should be the one who is ashamed for not having enough checkout lines open to accommodate their customers !! It's your money, save where you can & use it wisely. emoticon

Thank You for the help. Next time I will speak with customer service or a supervisor. I wanted to ask the cashier to call for assistance but her line her line was very long.

I agree, talk to customer service or a supervisor. If a store starts to give us hassles when we coupon, or won't manually enter coupons when they have trouble scanning, we will become more leary of going there with coupons. I hate stores where I am afraid things won't work and I will hold up the line, etc.

I have had the problem at Walmart & my grocery store that some of the coupons don't scan, but my coupons have always been entered manually by the cashier, after confirming I bought the product & the coupon was not expired. I don't understand why they could not be entered manually or by a supervisor????? You should check with a supervisor or customer service, and if they can't tell you, ask who can !!

I just returned from grocery shopping and used coupons that I printed from coupons.com and the Walmart website. The register would not accept two of the coupons because I did not buy the items. The cashier confirmed that I bought the items and that the coupons were not expired. The coupons were to be redeemed at Walmart and I was shopping at Walmart. The cashier stated that the register would not allow her to key the coupons in manually and suggested that I try them at another store. I reminded her that the coupons could only be redeemed at Walmart. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you correct it?
