Actually 1 pound of muscle mass and 1 pound of body fat...they both weigh the same...1 pound.

however the muscle mass is more compact. Muscle does not take up as much space as body fat...therefore while your scales make show the same weight...you pants fit more loose as you convert body fat over to muscle mass.

I am not sure what type machine or scales you are using. So it is difficult to give an accurate answer.

What is your percentage body fat?? and the change in body fat?

Usually your Fat Free Mass is the other mass in your body that is NOT fat. This includes muscle, bone, tissue, water etc. And your Total Body Water is the amount of water retained in the body. This usually makes up about 50-70% of your total body weight. So your muscle mass reading isn't making complete sense to me???

Thank you, my bmr is 1962*7=13,734---exercise 7320 (6days), 13,734+7320=21,054-8,400 (weekly intake) leaves 12,654 calories burned divide that by 3500 and my weight lose is 3.6 pounds per week that is safe weight loss right

Help!

If you are doing 2 hours of Leslie Sansone, you are burning approximately 1220 calories. If you are only taking in 1200 calories, you are in "starvation mode." You need another 500 to 800 calories of healthy food intake to cover the needs of your basal metabolic rate (BMR). If your calorie intake is too low compared to your calories burned (with exercise and BMR), your metabolism will slow down and you will gain weight.

Gaining in lean muscle mass is a good thing. If you gained a pound in "real weight" but went from 122 to 142 in lean muscle mass, then you roughly lost 19 pounds of fat while gaining 20 pounds of muscle. That is assuming that this change came over a decent period of time. If this change came over let's say a week or two, chances are that your scale or measurements/calculations may be off. If everything is correct, your scale may still read roughly the same, but you probably lost several inches.

I did my weight in and measurements and I went from 122 to 142 in lean muscle mass, I also gained a pound. I am working out 2 hours a day with leslie San and eating 1200 cal. Why am I gaining LMM. emoticon
