I tried Leslie's Punch Up Your Walk today. Didn't have any problems with the weighted gloves. Did the four miles.
Thanks a lot for your insights, Hullahoney.
I've tried the 4-mile express this week wrapping my ankle weights around my wrists to get a sense of what it might be like with weighted gloves and I do like the additional demands it places on my body.
I may just do this for a while and then see about getting the gloves.
I have used both ~smile~
My favorite WATP workout is her Burn Body Fat... with the hand weights... only I don't use the hand weights everyday for if I do my back doesn't like it much...
But it comes with 1 lb and 2 lb hand weights....
I have also got one of her workouts with the gloves... they kinda wrap on your hands and I do , do that workout now and then... and yes I think you are right it does help with Strength training... just only do it a few days a week ~smile~

I have tried weighted hand gloves and personally did not like them. They felt awkward and made my hands hot. I prefer to use hand weights. I have a set of 1 pound and 2 pound hand weights (just the normal small barbell sets). I alternate days using those using the 2 pound weights for a little more strength training and the 1 pound weights for some light resistance. I am sure it is a matter of personal preference. Some others probably like the weighted hand gloves.

Perhaps this has been addressed elsewhere, but I've not seen it:
Is anyone wearing weighted workout gloves while using LS DVDs?
I'm thinking that this would up the strength training aspects of the workout (I'm all for efficiency in this regard) but would like to hear whether anyone else has/is doing this and how it's working out for you. Any problems, any recommendations?
Thanks, all. Have a great weekend!
