today I KEPT GOING.

i set out to walk 3.5 miles. was struggling at 1.5. (my minimum is 2.5) it was hard today. when i figured out that i would be over 3.5 when i got home...

I KEPT GOING until i hit 4 MILES!

10 minutes of walking after dinner. Getting back into a routine.

Paid for my class and books today for Autumn semester. I can't believe I only have two more classes until clinicals! I will take microbiology next summer semester. After that, I will apply for the nursing program. It is coming soon! Hopefully I get accepted! I have a 4.0. My first degree was in Sociology and I was Magna Cum Laude. Worked in social services for ten years before having kids and I got a great score on the entrance exam for the program. Fingers crossed that I keep my 4.0 for these last two science classes!

I have been down for about 3 weeks with back pain. I am finally up and moving and decided to try to walk again. I was up to 8.5 miles per day but am happy that I was able to walk 2.66 miles today! It feels good to get movin' again! emoticon

Motivation gets us started. Habit keeps us going!

Walk off the weight by just putting one foot in front of the other.

Bone health. As a weight-bearing exercise, walking can stop some of the bone loss of osteoporosis and may slow down arthritis.

Weight loss. A regular walking workout burns calories. If you walk 4 miles four times a week, you can walk off about a half-pound of fat every month. Weight loss combined with a healthy diet can also decrease your risk of type 2 diabetes.

When I remember what I really want, it is easy to make the right choices.

I had three small healthy meals and walked 30 min.

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.
Your worst enemy cannot harm you as much as your own unguarded thoughts.
Drop judgment and pick up love.
If you can move a grain of sand a day, eventually you will move a mountain.
Crappy choices bring crappy feelings.
Can'ts are joy limiters.

walked and hooped and tried to be kind to myself. i am sad because an old friend/colleague/mentor died yesterday. trying really hard not to derail and binge.
