Thanks for the reply, I have found it quite hard with the carb restriction so I think I am just going to concentrate on clean eating and not actually do a 'diet' as such :)

I think SBD is OK as long as you avoid their products (mostly made by Kraft.) They aren't really in keeping with an "Eating clean" lifestyle.
I like the Sonoma Diet for it's eating clean components and because the authors haven't jumped the branded-products band wagon!

Hi!
I'm doing "low carb" "paleo" Atkins, sorta and I too am seeing the use of fake sugar!! I have NEVER gone for that idea! Yucky to me. Taste like crap and I feel like it's poison.
Then again I am not the type that needs EVERY dang thing sweetened. I don't sweeten my coffee or tea or anything I drink. I feel like it's one of those things keeping people fat.
Some peeps even have to have "orange flavored, sugar free" Metamusil for crying out loud. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
LOL I guess you just hit on one of my pet peeves.. RANT....

it's been up to me to inspire me.

Hi!
I'm doing a vegetarian version of the South beach. I'm still in P1. It's sort of similar to clean eating-little to no processed foods, whole grains(except P1), heavy on the veggies & protein. I limit my sugar intake. SBD, like clean eating, can be pretty much adapted to your needs. Check out the team(it's on my Page). That team has a TON of info!

Hi emoticon

I don't know anything about the South Beach Diet; sorry, I can't offer anything in regards to it.

I too, do *not* consume any Science Laboratory made Sugars.
(Hardly any, in my whole life. I am, *very much*, against them; but, that's me. To each their own.)

I hope that you get the answers you need.

Hi, I have just posted this on my blog but thought I would post the question here as well. I am interested in the South Beach diet and wondered if any one has any experience with it. DO you think it is a good idea or a bad one? I sae that he advocates using artificial sugar which to me is a big no no but apart from that it seems quite good.

Any advice

THanks
