I just want to pass on a resource I have come to believe is crucial for people with diabetes: The book "Wheat Belly". After starting to read it I have decided to give up wheat and other gluten grains like rye and barley. The reason is that wheat in the form that it is grown today is not the same that it was 50 years ago. There are ingredients that make it more harmful than other carbs. I just started reading Tosca Reno's book on clean eating. I am 34 years old and am about 100 lbs overweight. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 6 months ago and i know its time for a change. Anyone have super motivting results to share? I would love to have a buddy or a Eating Clean with Diabetes group! If you know of one let me know. Or lets get this started...Thanks to all!
