Not a problem!

I tried a recipe last night from OxygenMag.com, Chicken Quinoa Pilaf and it was so good this afternoon for lunch! For dinner I thought it was ok, but letting it sit overnight in the fridge made it 10x better. So check that site for some recipes as well. I am making a dish tonight called Power Pasta and it uses lentils for the protein source. I am going to cook them in the same way the quinoa was cooked last night. So yummy!

But regardless, I am glad you were able to find the magazine. I think I am going to be using that one often and it makes it worth it's weight in gold.

Yes! I got mine towards the beginning of Nov, end of October.

If your local grocery store doesn't have it, Barnes and Noble will.

EDIT: Sam's Club might also. I get most of my special editions there, much cheaper!

Is the Clean Eating "Comfort Foods" issue available now? I haven't seen it, but will make special effort to look!

Good Luck!

I am making the mini cheesecakes tomorrow night and instead of the Caramel Glaze they make to dress it up, I am adding some dark chocolate (70% Cocoa) shavings. If you are looking for some other ideas, Cleaning Eating.com and OxygenMag.com have other ideas. Oxygen has a recipe for Chocolate Souffle Cakes. I made those last week and they were good. I would cook them a couple of minutes longer simply bc I want a firmer texture. But it hit the spot for chocolate and was something like 120 calories and took 25 minutes from start to finish. The refrigerate well too!

ok, I really love these ideas. I understand that processed foods actually make us RETAIN weight because they trigger inflammation (which distracts our liver and kidneys), or something like that. Anyway, CLEAN totally makes sense to me! And gives me the motivation to find a vitatop alternative. Thank you!

I personally don't like Vitatops, they tasted overly processed; probably bc they are. If you are looking for good tasting and CLEAN desserts, pick up a copy of Clean Eatings special edition magazine called "Comfort Foods". It has several low calorie options that are not processed and are clean. Chocolate Mousse, Chocolate Cupcakes, Brownies, Pumpkin Custard, Cheesecake, ad several more. This might be an option that serves two purposes, better eating and more than a 2-bite treat.

I just looked up the ingredients for the muffins:
Ingredients
Whole Wheat Flour, Organic Evaporated Cane Juice, Chocolate Chips (Sugar Chocolate Liquor, Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin (An Emulsifier) And Vanilla), Cocoa (Processed With Alkali), Soy Fiber, Erythritol, Inulin, Dried Honey, Wheat Gluten, Leavening (Potassium Bicarbonate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate), Tricalcium Phosphate, Natural Flavor, Lecithin, Sea Salt, Xanthan Gum, Vitamin A, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Folic Acid, Iron, Biotin, Zinc. Contains Wheat And Soy.

Looks like only one ingredient is organic, the sugar (yes that's all it is), more sugar in the chocolate chips. Lots of highly processed ingredients like soy fiber, inulin, dried honey, wheat gluten.
If you want something healthy start with a regular muffin recipe and replace the white flour with whole wheat flour, use real butter, real eggs, some ground nuts and substitute Xylitol for the sugar or use honey (half of the sugar amount recommended). This will be much healthier for you. Eat your fresh fruit on the side and you'll get your vitamins.

These whole food treats by Vitalicious are hands down my favorite 100 calorie snack!
However, they're out of this world expensive. I've tried to recreate them, but mine end up so SMALL (in order to make them 100 cal). Any ideas?
