Great ideas so far my kids had come up with doing some kinds of Fruit they just weren't sure what kinds, Barley Brownies (the chocolate hides the healthy so my kids love em), and Healthier Buckwheat/Applesauce Muffins
What a great idea! Start slowly with nothing too brown and organic--don't want to spook anyone!
* Lite string cheese * mini whole grain bagels w/ interesting cream cheese spreads, all-fruit jams * hard-boiled eggs * a big breakfast casserole made with egg whites, cottage cheese, and loads of vegetables * "clean" muffins [and mini muffins are adorable!] * Ezekiel cinnamon-raisin bread w/ nut butter *Fruit but something easy to eat--like apple slices, grapes, strawberries, etc. * cheese slices *Dried fruits * healthy mini scones * Cut the orange juice with seltzer water * biscotti or fig bars * Lara bars, cut in 1/2 [you can find lots of online recipes for making your own too]
At our church on social sunday's the fare is typically coffee orange juice, doughnuts, sticky danish's, huge muffins, more doughnuts.... Any suggestions !!!! We are going to try a HEALTHY CLEANED- UP social day. Any good ideas or recipes that we can use to make everyone happy but have our healthy morning. If this is a success it may change the way our church celebrates its social sunday's.
