Our neighbor used to grow them and I could eat 5-6 in a day. By Week 3 I had sores in my mouth and throat from all the acid. I love them!! I love acid foods period....MMMM Onions!
Tomatoes are a let down for me too nowadays. The hydroponics are quite popular and tate like flavored water.
I found some delicious grape tomatoes at the grocery store last week, they were yellow and very sweet. They actually tasted like a tomato from my garden. I went back to get more and of course they were gone. I love tomatoes I probably eat some form of tomatoes at least daily if not more.
Thanks for sharing. It is so true....many veggies and fruits do not taste the same anymore. So sad.....

I grew up in California eating beefsteak tomatoes right from my grampa's farm.
I haven't had a decent tomato for YEARS! You young-uns don't even know what they are suppose to taste like!

Thanks for the information....This was just on Dr. Oz's show and makes a lot of sense. Especially the part about using canned instead of fresh. I make my tomato sauces with canned tomatoes and lots of spices with a little red wine.
Use 2 tbls of olive oil for better absorption of the lipozene without adding much fat. Serve with rice pasta and you've got a gluten free fab meal anyone can enjoy. Try a little (Shaved) Parmesan cheese for a blast of extra flavor without a lot of extra calories or fat. (It's too easy to get carried away with the shaker type of cheese and it melts too quickly to add much flavor)

It's a fact Jack!
