I LOVE sprouts and I eat some kind of sprouts every day. They make my body feel so good!
I don't use fancy equipment, just quart sized jars that were on their way to my recycle bin, and canning lids with screen instead of a solid insert. That makes it easier to rinse but I have a large tea strainer too that I use. Before I had the jars, I used large bowls and that worked just fine too. I don't think the important thing is what you use, but how you nurture your sprouts while they're developing. Keep them moist and clean.
Sprouted green peas are amazing, as are chickpeas, lentils, mung beans, and adzuki beans. They are a staple of my vegan nutrition.
