I bought a great juicer (2nd one in my lifetime)last year. I was really into Natalie Rose's books for Raw food. Juicing kale is not my thing and her 'green lemonade' that everyone seems to rave about made me green. However, I love to juice apples, pears, watermelon and cantaloupe for the kids.
I do have a book from Natalie Savona, "The Big Book of Juices and Smoothies" '365 Natural blends for Health and Vitality for Every Day' She has a whole page about Healthy Additives (such as Spirulina, cold pressed oils, lecithin) for juices and smoothies and talks about each one. I'll start juicing again soon and share my favorite recipes.
I am interested in starting to juice .... Where can I find the best recipes?? Any suggestions?

I don't juice, but it isn't because I don't like fresh fruit juice or that I think there is something inherently wrong with it. I don't juice because it is such a damn PITA to clean afterwards. :)
However, I do put whole fruits in my blender when making smoothies. I generally stick to bananas for sweetness and berries for their antioxidants and phytonutrients.
I don't juice. It seems like the one glass becomes an awful lot of calories once you get everything (mainly fruit) into the glass. I also don't like the juicers that take the pulp out of the drink. I think it is better to consume the whole fruit.
I haven't juiced in almost a year. I have a breville juicer that I love, it's very easy to use and very easy to clean as well, and not too expensive! I love veggie juices with some fruit for sweetness. Like carrot, beet, kale (or some green) celery, cucumber, etc., then an apple or pear. Yum!!! I do eat lots of fruits and vegetables, but I was juicing for a cleanse then I just kept it up through the summer. It makes me feel amazing! (thinking I dust off my juicer...) I also have a high speed blender, and you can use that to make juices if you have cheese cloth or nut milk bags to strain it. I make a smoothie every morning with my blender with almond or rice milk, spinach (lots!) a greens powder, coconut oil, banana, and frozen berries. If I have some I also add protein powder since I am a vegetarian and work out a lot!
I put mine up about a year ago. I got tired of cleaning it, but I do miss it sometimes. I eat so much veggies & fruit now, even though I know that juicing has different benefits.
I would juice apples, carrots, celery, parsley, beets and all kinds of greens. Sometimes I would even put garlic in it, but dh complained about my garlicky breath, lol.

I would love to if I had a juicer. Very expensive for a good one.
I have been hoping to get one for Christmas, but if not I'll see if I can find one on sale after. (I know I won't get one)

70 lbs. done!
I've never done my own juice but I think our Magic Bullet has a juicer attachment. I was just thinking about taking it out to make a protein shake so maybe I'll grab the juicer attachment and go through the veggie drawer in the fridge later.

If I had a juicer I'd definitely use it. But they are sooo expensive. Not in my price range!

Not much into juicing.

I juice all the time. I love it. I don't do a whole lot of veggie's in my juice yet but would love to start experimenting this winter. I mix all kinds of different fruits. I guess a few of my fav's are:
OR anything that is in the fridge.
I have done Strawberry, Orange, Pineapple and Grape and it was great.
I love most any fruits
If anyone can give me some great tasting veggie recipes that would be great.
Anyone here do any juicing?
Whether you juice for weight loss or just juice for health, it is a great way to get a LOT of antioxidants and nutrients into a relatively small glass of liquid.
Some people have high speed juicers and some (like myself) use a "twin gear" or masticating juicer. Whichever you choose will depend a lot on how much money you have to spend. You could also just use a blender.
Using a blender would leave all of the fibre in your juice. You may want this, or you may not. But, if you remove all of the fibre from your juice, the benefits and nutrients of the juice are actually much better absorbed by the body. This may depend on your objective for drinking the juice.
When my father had cancer he removed every trace of fibre. The fibre was getting in the way of his cancerous body absorbing the mega doses of vitamins his body needed to heal itself of pancreatic cancer.
But, maybe you enjoy a glass of carrot/tomaot juice everymorning, you are already healthy and like to get a bit of extra fibre. That is fine too. Extra raw veggies and fruits are great no matter what form they are in.
So, do you juice? Do you have a juicer? What are your favorite fuit/veggie combinations?
I like juicing. I have a Greenstar Juicer. I have tried all types of combos... My "go to" combo is carrots with apples.
Also, if you throw in some blackberries it sort of takes over the taste. I also discovered that I really don't care for celery in my juice, although it has great cleansing properties.
