Just had to throw in my own personal experience! When I switched to clean eating, over a year ago, I found that I just had fewer BM's. Not constipated or anything, no need to go, just fewer BM's.
When I eat too much fiber, I do seem to get bloated and gassy. I'm experimenting with eating less raw veggies and more steamed and sauteed veggies in the hopes that they're easier to digest -- so far, so good.
As for the frequency of BM's, I don't really worry about it. I think I just have less garbage to get rid of, and my body is just making good use of good food!

First off you need to increase your daily fiber intake slowly. You must stay hydrated and you must use healthy oils. These three things work well together and will keep things moving the way they should.

I think that adding more clean water and eating UNcooked fruits and veggies,(lots of natural water in them) and whole grains AT the same meal can cure this and be sure you give your body movement as well. After eating, go for a short stroll. Yogurt(probiotics) helps too! This gas and bloat problem WILL go away in a couple of weeks and will become less and less everyday. You are changing your body's way of running and it will reward you very soon!! Good work!
It is recommended that you slowly increase the amount of fiber that you add to prevent the increase of gas. :) However, switching to a clean eating lifestyle, it just kinda comes with the territory! I went through it too. If you weren't much of a clean eater before, your BM may be smaller because you aren't putting chemicals in your body that have to just be pushed back out. You know are providing it with food/nutrition that it can use to it's max ability. If you are worried about constipation, I would ask if you are feeling any cramps of pain in you lower abdomen or finding it difficult to have a BM (as in you are really straining to push it through your system). My apologies for the somewhat TMI descriptions but it was the best way I could describe it all!

Okay so I have been on the clean eating diet for a week or so now, and I have not cheated once! but there is a small problem... for some reason I have the Worst gas ever! has this happened to anyone else? or is it something that I am eating that is creating this? Thanks for you help! Mo
